New Janet Tweet

Posted an hour ago on Twitter:

"Monday we wrapped US leg of “Number Ones” in Miami. Thank u guys so much! Taking a break for nu projects. U’ll hear soon. I Love u."

I know she recently cancelled a show in Brazil because of "film commitments", so I wonder if the "nu projects" include the production deal she has with Lionsgate, or maybe a role in a film. I'm thinking a new album may also appear in the last quarter of 2012.

i'm still mad at the fact she cancelled the show in Brazil...she betta release an album soon and I'll probably let the grudge go very easily...I've been listening a lot 2 the 2-cd "the best of" lately and it makes me urge for new (and good) songs from her.

I'm thinking she'll reschedule it for the new year as well.

I hope Janet has some awesome things to say on her new effort. I feel like this will be the first real album from her in a long time, although I no longer base happiness around my favourite artists new albums. I've somehow lost that ability.

I want her to go for broke again like she did with Control. She was 19 when she released Control, she's approaching 50 now...

That would be something to have new albums from both Madonna and Janet next year.

I think it would depend on how epic both albums are... I'm planning on getting Madonna's and Janet's whenever Janet decides to come out with something if it's next year.

That would be the epic-est if they both came out with new albums next year.

As for Janet, yes, I want her to GO FOR IT. Don't spare any of these chicks lol . I want that same take-no-prisoners attitude, and that same fire that was in her vocals and her eyes during "Control". It's still in there, she just needs to unleash it.

and Rene...i swear, how people don't acknolwedge her career went to hell right after splitting with Elizondo...obviously he was some kind of creative force in the mix, don't we feel?

isn't the velvet rope really his main vision?

From what I've read Elizondo was very involved with the creative process of Velvet Rope. But I wouldn't say that her career went to hell after Janet divorced him. Rather, Velvet Rope seems to be an intimate commentary on their relationship as well as other experiences Janet had.
