MACEO PARKER!! Is he the BEST saxophone player EVER or what??!!@%$&@!!~
Some of us may not realise this, but Maceo has played a LOT with Prince over the last decade. I just listened to a live recording of Pink Cashmere and his playing is really OUT there, out of this world. So much passion, such amazing technique and such incredible sustain. Supernatural.
And he is just a human being like all of us! I remember seeing him live for the first time in I think it was 1997 and having the GREATEST time of my life. So much fun, so many great people. A beautiful night, listening to him and his terrific band and dancing ALL NIGHT LONG.
Maceo is the man. Not just some PR talking about him playing at least 3 hours. Just like with George, you are more or less guaranteed to get at LEAST 3 hours of pure, steaming hot funk!
Everybody who shares my sentiment: Give it up for our main man: Maceo Parker!!!

I love Mr. Parker! He is an amazing saxophonist who I have seen live without Prince quite a few times, and a few times with Prince. The most recent was in NYC on October 6th with PeeWee Ellis and Fred Wesley.
I have also had the pleasure of meeting him through a mutual friend. What a nice man!

I can imagine nothing else. Unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to meet he man himself, but funny story (maybe) is that I did meet some of his band members in a shoarma bar after one show.
I don't know if you know what a shoarma bar is, but...
