Olivia's "Magic" will and always be classic and my choice for the ONLY version of the song. I have to say I hate her "physical-era" hair-style in the video from the Physical video long form. |

These days, Olivia's Physical-era is no big deal. But back in 1980, it was somewhat controverial at the time since she was consider an innocent sweetheart in the soft-rock genre. | |

This song always makes me think of Esthero closing her acoustic show. It was so random and awesome and powerful. She just let all the girls who could sing along come up and jam. I had never heard the song before but I do now love the ONJ version and long for an acoustic studio version from Esthero. There are videos of her drunken closer and the raging smiles of the unexpected on YouTube. Sometimes I watch them if I am feeling down cuz it's so cute and such a lovely song. | |
