TLC sounds like The Chpmunks compared to The Time.

For all time I am with you, you are with me.

My vote goes to The Time/The Original 7even, especially the live version.

I love both versions, but if i had to choose, I pick The Time's version just for that guitar solo and + the extended Dr Fink keyboard solo at the end.

I loooove and appreciate the Time and J&L, and no, not just because of Janet. I've liked them since I knew Jungle Love as a little kid. But I'm going with TLC. I loved them sooo much in the 90's and loved this song and video and how dancy the beat was.

TLC did the best Prince remake ever. Yes Prince! Because this is totally a Prince record. In fact U could have just put Prince name on it and no one would have known the difference.....The vocals, keyboards & guitar work was Prince creating another masterpiece....But The Time & TLC remain my favorite Male & Female groups of all time......R.I.P. The Time. None of the girls from TLC can sing to save their lives. Their music was catchy but their voices make Rihanna look like 80's Whitney

They weren't meant to be serious singers though they don't sound bad either. They had great chemistry and charisma, and tackled real issues in some of their music.

Also T-boz has a unique tone to her voice. Sometimes its not about doing runs all the time having a good tone works good with the right songs.Janet has a good tone to her voice & doesn't need AutoTune voice effect.

That's why I love both so much. They are still pleasant to the ears and touch the listeners with what they are singing about.

Dallas Austin.

I've read a story about Prince inviting Dallas Austin to Paisley Park. P was a big fan of TLC and wanted to meet him. When he got there and started jamming, they made fun of him because he only played the keyboards with two fingers.

Here's this guy who's produced all these hit records, and he can't play.

JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

I can't believe nobody mentioned the fact that TLC changed the lyrics in this song: "let your hair hang down" became "let your thang hang down." eek

Oh well, the song's called "Get It Up" after all. lol

But anyways, of course I would choose THE TIME over TLC, which as we all know stands for T-Boz, Left Eye Chilli..... although others have said that it stands for "Total Load of Crap." lol
