A Forgotten R&B group of the late 90s..

I heard this song on my local Smooth R&B/Adult Contemporary radio station today and immediately fell in love with it. I tried to tag using my music ID app on my iphone, but nothing showed up. Then I googled the lyrics and found it. These dudes can SANG. I love their voices, they're more "raw" than Boyz II Men, which I think is their best quality.

The song I heard:

They covered "A change is Gonna Come" and did a great job. It's now one of my favorite versions of the song:

These guys should have been more popular.

They were the real deal. Debut album was very good.

Second album wasn't nearly as good but did have

a few memorable tracks.

This funk is a serious joint

I remember those brothers. "Heaven" was a well-crafted song.

Too bad contemporary R & B sucks mightily.

Weren't these guys initially signed to Jam & Lewis' Perspective Records?

I couldn't recall exactly, but I looked it up and you're right. Solo was on the duo's Perspective label.

Thanks. Yes, I remember these cats. I think its great that they're coming back out. I just hope they won't try to appeal to a younger audience that don't give two damns about no Solo. Appeal to your market brothers. Adult Contemporary R&B stations would probably eat them up. They and many more capable old school acts should working that circuit like crazy. Good luck guys!

I'm really interested in these guys, would love to get my hands on the CD. iTunes is full of shit though, I can't purchase the CD in its entirety for some reason.
