Lovely new song by Jermaine Jackson

I really think this song suits his voice. Nice to hear something fresh (other than that lame remake of Blame it on the Boogie) from Jermaine.

Sounds like late 1980's AC or the theme from a Disney cartoon movie.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

TY Manthevan for uppin this. I strapped on a a pair of really good headphones & spun this song with an "open mind" (all Org bashing set aside, I.E.: grease / oil / hair / raisin jokes, et cetera, ad infinitum, ......just really gave this an "honest listen").

I really like it.

Just confirms that Jerm's a talented cat...if only he'd just stick to sincere & original quality material & production like this......no MJ B.S....no "jackson royalty hype".......just use & display the talents he HAS (not to mention the potential he has just touring & performing material from his own back catalog).

I hope he continues on this track. I thought it was lovely & an "encouraging" moment, musically, from the Jackson camp, as of late.

Thumbs up, IMO.

Makes me want to hear more from Jermaine. Is he working on anything?

I like it a lot, but I'd appreciate some info on the song... when was it released? Is it a legal release or bootleg? Is he working on a new album? Any info would be nice..

it's nicely done though it sounds a little like a demo....he should continue doing music instead of getting himself into messes and relying on mj to keep his name out there, I don't see any self-respect left anymore from just doing that

Very well said. I've been saying the same thing for years.

This guy has a very good catalog. He didn't have a lot of number one hits like Janet and MJ, but he did have some pretty big pop and r&b records. He should still be touring and performing these songs. New material like this is definitely the right direction for him.

Jermaine was actually the second Jackson I knew of in the 80's after Michael, though most 80's born kids say Janet. Do What You Do was one of my favourite songs as a kid, and it's so timeless.

He was kind of cute in the video, but spoke horrible Italian! And Iman was a mess, funny how she ended up working with MJ later on, and right around Word to the Badd lol

I can't find anything about the song other than it is clearly Jermaine singing and it is supposedly written by Dennis Ross III. Any additional information would be nice!

Wow, didn't realize Marvin was so insecure and petty. SMH

This is a really nice song by Jermaine.... I always said he was the best pure vocalist in the family and this song showcases it. Pleasant tone and good phrasing. Kinda Hallmark/ Lifetime but I can tolerate it. wink
