One of my favorites, she doesn't get the notoriety that others in this forum get which is a shame. With the adulation and success that Adele has received, IMO, she can't do what Chrisette does at all yet is 12 million deep in sales. Whatever criteria you use to critique an adequate woman singer, put their work up against Chrisette's and prove that its better.

Stated before in another thread...I saw her live and that was it for me...EXTREMELY UNDERATTED!!!

At first when I heard her it sounded too much like Anita Baker who I just hate. Then I gave a couple other songs a try and wore the second album out.

Wasn't too please to see her colab with Rick Ross...Just thought it was too early for that, and he's been out for like what 2-3 years...I mean get a seasoned rapper to compliment that voice. I liked her with the Roots, however I respect the Roots more that Ricky so there ya go.

Leela James is another one.....mad Don't get me started.

I was so upset her label wasted money on videos for the worst singles with the Epiphany album. This song deserved a good treatment.

Thats not the point.... your beyond laughable because you praise no talent hacks but yawn at a singer that can exactly sing and makes MUCH better music... I dont care who you like frankly but making crack jokes at artists that are EXACTLY TALENTED .... once again bro you make yourself look like a fool everytime.... never fails. I dont see how the hell you expect anybody to take ANYTHING you say related to music seriously...

Mostly material. I think she's a pretty good singer, but her material does nothing for me. There are a few songs here and there that I like, but most of her music I could do without.

She's been around longer than 2 or 3 years. Before her solo debut, I heard this song and I love it.

Yea I also was disappointed when she collabed with Rick... it was way to early for that.. it did give her more notoriority though

What's the difference between collaborating with Rick Ross or Nas?

Nas is a far superior lyrical rapper than Rick Ross.

Thanks! And it was just a waste of talent on a mediocre track... She sounds great on it but she could feature and collab with more artistic artists that match her material...

I was disappointed with her NaS collaboration believe it or not. neutral Some singers don't work well with rappers. Just because one singer does it don't mean you can. confused It's cool every now and then when you're both on a creative high but when it's not, it shows.

I dont think her music is the second coming of Edgar Alan poe.. however compared to the rihannas, beyonce's ciara's etc her material is a hell of lot better... just saying... her material isnt the greatest but it certainly isnt shit neither....

That's like choosing the "lesser of two evils" or something. Just because someone can sing don't mean I'm gonna dig all you put out. It don't work that way, least with me. shrug I feel the same about Angie, Jill, even Erykah sometimes.

I agree you make a good point which is the SAME point I always make with Beyonce but for some reason it goes un notice and I think its that way with any artist you like. I love Jill, Ery etc and no I dont like ALL they have come out with but they have presented themselves to be REAL artists and want to be creative and challenge themselves artistically which I respect but I also have no problem with saying something isnt that good about an artist I like either.

In this particular case, a million songs comes to mind that I would call shit compared to this song. Its a nice song and she sells the hell out of it... yes I know everybody does not have to like it lol but I mean their are shitty songs playing on the radio that are far worse than this... thats all I am saying.
