Paging Miki Howard This weeks blind item is a 51 year old female R&B singer from Chicago, IL, who after joining her first group “Side Effect” went solo only to have a successful solo career. Until of course she developed a love affair with crack cocaine. Our blind item suffers from depression and she has a serious crack addict. Drug abuse allowed her to act on her dangerous sexual fetish (picking up random strangers off the streets to have sex with). Is our blind item delusional? I think so. Know why? Because I’m getting word that our blind item lives in the hood, but acts like a diva that resides in Bel Air mane. Our blind item has been smoking crack since back in the ’80s — and guess what? Our blind item’s family and management are very concerned, but her booking agency believes her career is done. Don’t believe me? Ask the folks over at the Richard De La Font Agency. Our blind item should do like Whitney Houston and Just Say No!Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

Couldn't we infer that Miki Howard was acting kinda fishy during those Unsung episodes, especially her own? Check me out and add me on:

I love Mik. I will have to pray Mik out on Youtube tonight. She seems like a very joyous and fun person.

She's always acted strange. I don't ever recall seeing her when it didn't appear that she was under the influence. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

I love her, whole package and all I think Miss Howard will be fine. I think whoever wrote that blind item tibid should drive through a brick wall and call it a day. There's more to a music career than being within the list of billboard, FOH!
This was two months ago btw...
Gotta love her candor. Love Under New Management makes me gag

Femme Fatale! This whole record filled by communte for two hours a day in 1992, for what was probably an unreasonable period of time - maybe two months. But I just loved it, from start to finish, and she was so damn beautiful on that cover. When you look at her catalog, she should have had even more prestige than what she did. Cocaine is a hell uva drug.

Harlepolis - She was lying, or high at least confused about loving that song. http://www.youtube.com/wa...F1zVm9jBL0 It is so perfect.
And the girl interviewing her asked some interesting questions and kept up with Miki - who is wacky.

I love the song too, but I believe her in a sense that there are other songs in her catalog that should've been in the reportoire, but weren't due to the audience demand. Those songs are her payments in a sense.
Somebody asked Chaka once, how come your live tracklist is always the same? Why not have say "Egypt Song"? She said "and risk being thrown outta the stage because I didn't have I Feel For You?".
So yeah, I believe her, I'm sure if I *heard* that song everyday, I'd feel like gagging myself. Same reason why I still won't play Otis Reddings' "Dreams To Remember" because my mother - bless her - wouldn't change the needle for shit back when I used to live with her.

I want to believe she's doing good myself. Blind items usually just make up stuff.

Miki is out there making a living out of performing. Blind item is making a living out of........? Exactly!
Folks are bored as all hell, thats all.

Here's an example of the type of music that Miki sounds most comfortable doing,,,,,
A saving grace from a completely forgettable album IMO.

Thanks for that interview, Harle. She reminds me so much of Chaka for some reason... maybe because their candor is similar.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That's true. There was some dumb blind item about Chaka or someone smh...
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah Miki always wanted to be a jazz artist. She seems more comfortable doing jazz than R&B actually...

Exactly! She was acting high as a kite during most of those interview segments.
