I don't know how to post a song, but I'll write it here so someone else can put it up. It's "Just Got Paid" by Johnny Kemp. CLASSIC feel good, Pay Day joint! xo

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Most New Jack Swing songs sound terribly dated to me. That musical genre hasn't aged very well IMO. That being said, the NJS tracks I do like have Teddy Riley's direct involvement (performing, writing and/or producing). He's the granddaddy of the genre and created the best music:

A music style is only "dated" when it hasn't been revived. What about the electro synthpop that we've been deluged with for the past few years? A lot of mid to late teens really like new jack swing - pretty obvious seeing that they grew up with their parents playing what they were into when they were younger.

It's a funny notion this, of art being "dated". I never quite understood it even when I used to think that way.

And a lot of folk like swingbeat simply because it's good, unique music (same reason why most other genres have been realised).

is only one defense: the creative act.
