Ummmm no lol I like We Are The World, Man In The Mirror, and Earth Song. I think What More Can I Give is okay but there's too much going on. He should've just recorded solo

It's Heal The World and The Lost Children that I don't like, and Heal The World while not my favorite is lightyears better than Lost Children neutral

"The Lost Children" is torture! I like Heal the World to a certain extent. It's a song I can play maybe once or twice a month but I don't fancy it. What More Can I give is a train wreck! Like you said, it's too much going on in the record

Man in the Mirror >>> everything else.

If they had to stuck to just 10 vocalists, it would've worked

Beyonce

Brian McKnight

Carlos Santana

Gloria Estefan

LUFFA (We don't call him Luther Vandross :lol)

Mariah Carey

Michael Jackson

Reba McEntire

Ziggy Marley

Usher

Celine Dion

But that song had SO MANY damn people some folks just a WORD, not a verse, not a line, but a WORD lol

And it was dated. It has 2001 stamped all over it:

3LW?

Billy Gilman?!

Bryton? aka LITTLE RICHIE?!

Anastacia?

Aaron Carter?

Nick Carter?

NSync?

Hanson

JOHN muthafuckin' SECADA!?

spit at the gifs!!!!

I personally liked the song, very heartfelt. However I agree, it was too busy for it's own good. And as far as dated goes...I don't think Michael was going for the "timeless hit" feel. It was a song to raise funds as a charity single.

I wish there was a solo copy floating around somewhere. It would've meant more if he had just sung it himself.

Great to see some discussions about THE MUSIC on here again.

Something I think we haqve to acknowledge, and sadly get used to, is that Michael is unlikely to have another number 1 album - despite how much we would all like it.

The general public interest isn't there for new music any more, and any re-releases will only be snapped up by us the fans. Another rerelease of Bad or Thriller or Off Thw Wall won't draw in a mass of sales. In a similar way that the recent U2 and Pink Floyd re-releases haven't set the charts on fire, we can expect the same for Michael.

And post-humous albums like 'Michael" and even "The Immortal" won't hit number 1.

It's not a matter of talent, or promotion, its just that there isn't the excitement of hearing a "new" MJ song, supported by a new MJ video with Michael being around.

Now I'm not saying his albums won't sell well, and I beleve over time Immortal will sell well - but we as fan's need to understand that the days of albums debuting at number 1 are over - at appreciate the music we get, whether it hits number 1 or debuts at number 24 and then drops.

Yeah it really sucks, I just want my Bad Wembley tour to be released lol It's sad but true what you're saying too, but I still hope the excitement is kept alive in other ways like it was before his death too. There was nothing like getting high off MJ being around and putting out new work, or even him being alive meant he could drop something at anytime and had inner strength

I think there will still be excitement for us as fans hearing unreleased works etc, but I just think if we are looking to Number 1s to make us happy - it is unlikely to happen.

I will be as excited to hear Bad 25, Dangerous 25, new "unreleased" albums etc as I was when Invincible dropped. But things will always be tinged with "what would he have done now".

Sad, but true.

I think it has to do with promotion and the general handling of the albums. Looking at how those 2 albums were promoted, with Sony and the estate not doing much by February/March 2010 to releasing I Like The Way You Love Me as a single in some areas with absolutely no promotion (in France, they just sent CD copies of the song and that was that). If no one knows about an album, they're not gonna buy it

with "Michael" the whole controversy hurt the album a great deal. Although it was a top 10 seller in over 20 countries, it could've done better but overall lack of promotion and the controversy hurt it's chances

Immortal...the promotion is the show and vice versa. It'll do well as time goes on but it was never going to be a #1 seller

You know DAMN WELL you want more songs lol

It really depends how they go about things

They're releasing stuff with just the mass casual consumer in mind when the main people buying these releases are US, the fans.

They can do boxsets, new albums, books, documentary, tv specials, video games, electronics (A Michael Jackson themed iPod!) and release his unreleased work in all these ways

When it comes to his video collection, this was a man who had a video archivist for years and had a thing for documenting everything: concerts, rehearsals, studio sessions....... yet they released "Vision" with substandard prints of several of the videos and seem to have no plans to release concerts (unless they really are going to release The Bad Tour on DVD next year)

Destiny Tour/Off The Wall Tour 1979-80- 124 dates

Triumph Tour- 39 dates

Victory Tour- 55 dates

Bad Tour- 123 dates

Dangerous Tour- 69 dates

HIStory Tour- 82 dates

Michael Jackson and Friends- 2 dates

30th Anniversary Celebration- 2 dates

It's all there, but what are they gonna do with all of it?

I don't get excited anymore and am afraid I'm going to lose it more though I will never stop being a fan and loving him. Problem is, it just hurts too much, and the rush of him being alive, period, is not what it used to be and I hate living without the fix, both for the person and music.

Just release the live DVDs, I could give a damn about CDs unless the next one includes "A Place with No Name" and shit like that. Otherwise whatever...

Depends on how many songs that are "finished"...

Hollywood Tonight wasn't finished but it still made the cut

Hell, Breaking News, Monster, and Keep Your Head Up were probably RECORDED without Michael and they still got released lol
