The bad part about Dangerous is "Why You Wanna Trip on Me", "In the Closet" and "She Drives Me Wild" all sound the same. When I listen to them, it sounds like ONE long song. I love the records though

I think that 'Unbreakable' 'Invicible' and 'Heartbreaker', imo, are a far better example of 3 songs sounding so much alike that it's almost impossible to tell when one begins and ends. The fact that they are right next to each other on the album makes it that much worse.

I love those songs, but yeah they sound more alike than the Dangerous ones, similar structure. Although Threatened was a good way to end the album, replacing one of the three with it would have helped it flow better.

I don't know about you, but I'm getting a bad vibe from 'life after Michael". This isn't a fucking break up of some damn plastic couple. Their father was murdered and they're coping with it. If they're nt careful, the media will crucify them just as they did their father.

Michael Jackson: The Life of an Icon was really well done. I had never heard her interviewed and I found Katherine to be very compelling, smart, interesting, sweet... well spoken!! Tito won me over many years back, and it is always nice to hear him reflect on the Jacksons. Rebbie, too. David Guest lives and breathes beyond that crazy moment with Liza - did not see that coming. I appreciated seeing some of the finer and somewhat misunderstood parts of Michael's life acknowledged and addressed.

My favorite moment was the shocking bit about Liz Taylor being under the weather until a $250,000.00 necklace showed up and healed her - was that an act of prostitution? I think that there must be some even more interesting stories right there.

Also, Berry not stepping in to assure the J5 stayed at Motown was interesting - and crazy. But Berry let a lot of people he loved and who had performed well in the sales department go without a fight.

It seems like M and Diane stopped being close at some point in the eighties. ??

Nah, Michael and Diana were close til his passing. He was also giving advice to Evan, Diana's son on his music

Berry copyrighted the J5 name. When they announced their departure, he told someone "All we need is 5 kids with the last name Jackson" He sued them afterwards and the suit didn't end until '80

I liked parts but overall it could've been a lot better. AND TOO MUCH J. RANDY, FRANK CASCIO, AND DAVID GEST neutral

I'm pretty excited to hear this GLEE's new MJ tribute episode. I think it'll be cute. When they "cover" MJ songs (I know it's been said like a million times) it's never about trying to outdo MJ's original version but paying tributes, showing different interpretations and just simply, putting MJ's music out there anyway. It's like when Gwyneth Paltrow did Kiss cover, I didn't like their version at all but the fact that they tried to pay tribute to Prince classic is kinda cool.

Though it will very likely be another "usual tribute" with songs like Billie Jean, Beat It, Man In The Mirror, Smooth Criminal, Black or White....Hope they include Don't Stop Till U Get Enough!

I wonder why they're doing MJ tribute now though. I remember when Superbowl special Thriller episode came out, Kevin Mchale said he'd been begging for producers to do an MJ episode for a while and they finally decided to do a Thriller show. During 2009 when everyone was doing some sort of MJ tribute Glee didn't do anything. Maybe they saved this episode for later? when the ratings start to drop? because MJ tribute sure will be talked about a lot razz

Not that I have time to read 800 replies, but has anyone discussed the Michael album. I thought it was quite good (I bought it on special 3 months ago). Monster and Hold my hand are really good and Hollywood tonite, is one of his catchiest singles ever, what does everyone else think of it.

Hold My Hand, Best of Joy and The Way you Love Me are probably my favorite tracks on that album. As for Hollywood Tonight I prefer the MV version of the song with Billie Jean beats. Not a big fan of Monster. And I'm quite fond of Keep Your Head Up.......I know it sounds crazy but I like to pretend those Cascio songs are MJ's alter ego songs for now(like maybe they sped up the vocals and twisted around little bit like Camille songs by P...)

that's what i do. at the various entertainment sites i visit, i don't open any articles about the kids, nor read any threads specifically about them, such as the fact that paris was on ellen, or prince speaking about cirque. it's my small way of respecting mj. he would be so heartbroken about the way his mother of all people is pimping out his kids to the media. you can bet she didn't give people mag access w/o negotiating some money; people is the definition of checkbook journalism. and yes eyes, the media will eventually turn on these kids. right now, they're on their best behavior, b/c they are receiving the access they want via kat, but the media never liked their father, even pre-1993, which everyone seems to want to forget. soon enuf, they'll revert to form. kat won't pay the price for what she's doing, anymore than she paid the price when she and family put mj out there. mj was the one who paid it, and now his kids will and she will be long gone when it happens.

The only song I think was left out was Someone Put Your Hand Out but apparently that was recorded in 1992 but why couldn't they put that in the special edition? Someone Put Your Hand Out would've also been the perfect song to actually END the album. It needed a love ballad or two on it...

Someone Put Your Hand Out was done in early '91 along with Remember The Time and the other songs. It should've been on the album instead of the dreadful Heal The World

Ahh, come on. I like Heal The World. It's catchy and sentimental and very relevant for these rough times that the world is going through.

"The Lost Children" is torture! I like Heal the World to a certain extent. It's a song I can play maybe once or twice a month but I don't fancy it. What More Can I give is a train wreck! Like you said, it's too much going on in the record
