I sorta am too Timmy, MJ's and Janet's family are fucked up and I no longer want to cry over them. I feel indifferent to the autograph thing too, though I also see your point about LMP and Sean Lennon not doing anything. Maybe Paris already feels like she's an actress though she has a long way to go and is only in classes. Nowadays you can get discovered on youtube, go on a reality show, have twitter to feel important, and that's not how it was in the old days for Michael, and he's not here to tell her that. I wonder what her relationship with Joseph is like, I have a feeling there isn't much. I just think the (older) family members are attention whores, and we can't blame the kids completely if they are signing autographs without someone explaining to them to just wait.

There are very few fans who actually like the way they are being presented everywhere, but this is Katherine to blame for, not them. I'd also prefer if they lived more privately, but they still seem well-behaved kids.

I don't think they should be up on stage everywhere. It's that type of life that contributed to their father's death. I guess Katherine has not come to terms with that. But going to a concert is a normal teenage thing to do. They can't help it that the media follows them around because of who their father was.

I don't really think they're being whored around for publictiy. OK, maybe not all the time.

I think they're leading fairly normal lives. As normal as there can be when you're in that fishbowl.

They go to school regularly, they're not hiding, they're not in disguise.

everytime you see pics of these kids its not the family whoring them around or exploiting them, they are mj's kids so the paps are gonna take pics. they are not the only kids of celebs we see pics of all over the net so please stop acting like this is something exclusive to mj's kids. also the comparisons to lisa pressley and sean lennon makes no sense, this is a completely different time we live in, if we had the internet and social networks back then maybe you would have seen more of them, yoko never hid her son,hell he even hung around with mj. of course when mj was alive we didnt see them much because for one they were younger and the interest in them wasnt there, they are around now because mj died and people are interested in how they are adjusting to a new life. i dont see how them doing a few interviews talking about their father is exploiting them, what exactly did the jacksons gain from the kids telling oprah he was a great dad? they are trying to change people's perceptions about mj by showing how nice and normal his kids are and in some cases it has worked.seem to love the attention they are getting but why act surprised by this, we saw them as babies telling their dad they wanna sing and do what he do, they said he was getting them acting lessons, bottom line nobody knows what their father would have or have not let them do as they got older.

she's just a kid and if chris is dancing a little like her dad and that's her way of keeping him alive.....though there are way better artists out there

you always COMPLETELY IGNORE information that has spoon fed to you about the jacksons' avarice and dirty dealing vis a vis these kids, even in so-called "innocent" situations like the oprah interview, so i don't even know why you bother to state that. the jacksons could literally parade them around naked in the street and you would find an excuse to defend their actions.

People making comments as if the Jackson family have not exploited Michael kids are either dumb as hell or ignorant of the familys behavior since Michaels passing...

Not saying everytime the childrens photo are taken Michaels family is to blame but in most of the cases since Michaels has passed with alot of situations the family has used the children for exploitation AND MONEY.

No I have never sat down with Michael to ask him what he would or would not want for his kids but clearly based on HIS ACTIONS and what he SAID regarding his children being in the spotlight that is not something he wanted for his children to be overexposed in the public.

Yes, before MJ passed he stopped using the veils HOWEVER, I HIGHLY doubt the children would be getting the exposure they get now and I highly doubt Michael would want that. For instance, people harrassing his children over twitter, his children being exploited like how they have been by his family etc.

Its not like his children werent getting taking pics of before Mike passed but Michael heavily monitored his children and didnt mindlessly exploit in public he tried his best to not do that and as famous as Michael was he was successful with that.. so people acting like the lesser caliber Jackson clan cant do that is ridiculous, they know exactly what they are doing and they allow the children to a degree do what they want, not saying its bad but it has its consequences.

What did the Jacksons gain from Paris talking about MJ to Oprah? They gained the interview. If it wasn't for the kids being in said interview, Oprah wouldn't have accepted to interview the Jacksons. In fact, the idea to have the kids on the telly during that Oprah episode came from the family as soon as they were rejected by her. That is, in case you didn't get it: the kids were used by the family as a trade coin.

Paris WILL become exactly like Paris Hilton. The family will use her and her brothers until there's no more blood to suck. They're like hyenas surrounding their prey making sure not one single drop of blood will be lost. They were, are and will exploit, use, abuse and objectify MJ3. They're trying to please her, spoil her so they can get a comfortable place in her good graces. The purpose? Well, she'll be a billionaire soon. She's no longer being educated by absolutely anyone. She's being shoved a billionaire lifestyle by her family as a part of a long term plan to, like I said, remain in her good graces. None of the others kids received the least bit of education by their parents, what makes one think MJ3 will (and they're orphans!!!)? Nobody is educating them.

That's great. I'm glad she's able to go wild over someone's music she likes. So what if it's Chris Brown...she's entertained by him and it obviously makes her happy. I'm glad she's living and enjoying normal teenager activities. That's exciting and I'm happy for her. More power to her!

Exactly. This sounds terrible but I think she has a more normal life that MJ isn't alive. He hid her away from the rest of the world and didn't let her do normal things. I'm not the biggest MJ fan, so I don't follow his kids that closely, but I haven't seen that many paparazzi pictures of her so I don't see how her family is exploiting her. There are plenty of pictures of Lourdes, Madonna's daughter. I haven't seen significantly more of Paris than I have of Lourdes The media is naturally interested in the offspring of famous singers, especially ones like Paris and Lourdes who are very beautiful.

I think it's a fine line for celebrities who have children. They don't want to exploit them or expose them to too much media but at the same time they don't want to overprotect them and hide them away from the world because that isn't a normal healthy life either. There needs to be a balance and happy medium between the two extremes.
