i understand what you're saying and respect your opinion. to me it's obvious they're being exploited by the family and that's crass. i also think it's a shame because it could lead to an inflated and completely undeserved ego. but what are you gonna do? it's not like fans can really do anything about it.

on another note, every time i see a picture of this child i think it's amazing that they managed to convince them, esp at this age that they are really his biological kids. seriously, they look NOTHING like him or the rest of the family whatsoever. how long is that going to last, do you think? she's clearly not african american

I don't know why people always have to make a big deal about this. What do you mean they've convinced them they're Black? Michael raised them, that's his Family and they are being raised as Jacksons. I don't get that comment.

The kids seem to have adjusted well and seem happy. That's more important than any blood relation.

Would you constantly tell an adopted child that they aren't biologically related to their Parents? No, of course not, so why treat these kids any differently?

Michael was their Father period and they are Jacksons, no matter what anyone or any DNA test says.

I don't know how much there is to blame Katherine for. Even though they are young children, if they want to go to Chris Brown concert or make a twitter account, they should be able to do it. They seem to be making frequent appearances on events that are MJ related, but I know I'm not the one to say they shouldn't be everywhere like that. If they really enjoy being publicly supportive of their dad and don't mind being in front of camera you know? Though I don't want them to be taken advantage of in any way, and I'd personally prefer them to be more private as well

What I was talking about was the Oprah interview, where Prince and Blanket did not seem to be that comfortable, supporting a shady charity etc. I am talking about hose kind of things, not Paris going to a concert.

I see. But at the same time, I can't tell whether they didn't wanna be there answering questions about their dad, or they were being camera shy. Paris seemed pretty determine to send the message to the world how good of a father MJ was to me. I don't honestly know whether they wanted to do that interview or not and that's what makes it difficult for me to ever judge Katherine's decisions

Paris was always the confident one not afraid to speak up for her father. That was obvious right from the start at the funeral. Blanket is painfully shy and looked as if he didn't wanna be there and from what I've heard Prince doesn't like Oprah (don't know if it's true, but I¨ve heard). I don't know about the other events.

no, i wouldn't tell an adopted kid that they were adopted if they didn't know. but i have to say i would highly disapprove of the parent who made the decision NOT to tell them and just let them live in the dark about it.

there's nothing wrong with adopting a kid, of course not. but not telling them they're adopted just isn't right. people don't generally do that anymore, because obviously the consequences of it were bad when they found out. i have to think it's even worse when the kid is another race from you and you still deny it. it's the lying that bothers me

Michael at her age was a star, the Jackson clan leader, but behaved more modestly.

I am afraid that his daughter turned into Paris Hilton's number 2. No talent, no personal achievements, but there is fame, money and show-off! cool

I think that the major difference btwn Paris Hilton and Paris Jackson is that one is almost a 30 something entrepreneur using her sexuality to sell her brand.

The other one is just a 13 year old girl who was taken to see her favorite singer in concert who is at the mercy of the papparazi no matter where she goes.

To me, that's a humoungous difference.

I compared the Paris Jackson and Paris Hilton only in the context of what I am afraid that Jackson would be a party girl who has no talent, ability, hard work, but has money, fame and show-off.

It was a parallel, rather than a comparative analysis. confused

on another note, every time i see a picture of this child i think it's amazing that they managed to convince them, esp at this age that they are really his biological kids.

How do you know what they believe?
In their ages at the school are already studying the genetics, biology and anatomy.

Blanket - a small child, so probably not interested in these issues. Although in his case more difficult, even by experienced geneticists will be in doubt.

Hell, now I understand why the sticky topic MJ isolated. It's just impossible, obsessive fans of MJ is too painful to relate to everything.
This is a really fan site of Prince? lol

Bringing a 13-year-old girl to a Chris Brown doesn't equal a Paris Hilton move and that's like comparing a cow and a chicken. It don't make much sense really. A girl having fun at her favorite artist's concert doesn't make her "famous for nothing".

Who was being hostile? You opinions are highly uneducated. That's not an opinion that's a fact. Don't like it when someone calls you out on your racist way of thinking?

Then think twice before you post. Plain and simple. wink

Do you miss me in the section of the Prince, sweetie? lol
I just read that section, rarely write the message.

Prince is not my favorite artist, he is in the top 10. I think he is genius and a lot of respect, but there are many artists whose music I like more: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Scorpions, Queen, MJ (yes, really razz ) and some more.
I am ready to talk about MJ-artist a lot and mainly good, he's one of the greatest. But my love does not extend to MJ-person, much less for a family of Jackson.
This is not a fan site MJ, so I can write what I think.

Timmy, it's not just about the concert.

I saw the photo, as she signs autographs. eek
Michael brought up children in seclusion and detached from the media, now their lives are turned around 180 degrees.

i guess you've never seen pics of:

- rashida jones

- the daughter of that black/biracial soap opera actress whose name escapes me at the moment

- eartha kitt's daughter

- gabriel beauvais' (?) kids

i guess the vast majority of people are making the same one sided, ignorant, narrow-minded statements about them, too, right?

it's not the "lying" that bothers you. what bothers you is you're uncomfortable at the thought of these 'white' kids being raised in a 'black' family. isn't that the real root of your problem with mj's kids?

you should read the book 'across the color line' about a boy in the 1950s that was 3/4 white who had to be raised as 'black' because his father was biracial. when his white mother came to try to retrieve him after abandoning him to bring him back into the 'white' world, he rejected her in favor of staying with the black family, particularly his surrogate mother, the black maid who took him in. he knew what really counted in his life, and it wasn't his no-account bio mom.

i would think mj3's greater issue in life will not be the race of their family or them, but the fact that the jackson seem intent on using them to promote their various money-making schemes.

but saying that is not a racist comment. it's an observation, of which i am absolutely not in the minority. look at the girls next to her. if you were told that one of these girls was michael jackson's daughter and you didn't know which one, could you honestly say that you would assume it's paris?

i think you know that no one would. the whole thing didn't just spring up out of nowhere

^^ Nah stargirl (or whatever your name is) I wouldn't go that far. I've got two nephews who you may think are Caucasian by default but their father is black (my brother) and also my family has multi-ethnic and multi-racial descendents so no it's not that simple.

come on, timmy. you know lili is right. mj would be mortified at paris signing autographs and being so exposed this way. i don't doubt that he would have allowed her to go to the concert; she's in that preteen age group where girls go crazy for the new teen idol - something he knew a lot about! but he would have had bodyguards around her to stop people from coming up to her like that and i am positive he would told her himself not to be doing this. it's not about being nice; it's about values. paris has done absolutely nothing in her life that justifies her signing autographs. lisa presley wasn't out signing autographs, nor sean lennon, when they were paris' age, and their fathers were no less famous than mj.

if he had lived, i'm sure the masks would be off by now, but there is no way in hell these kids would be being raised the way they are. paris' unsupervised twitter account? no decent parent, famous or not, who cares about their child lets them do that. i'm sorry, but i can also see her becoming as shallow as paris hilton, esp. since it appears that aunt latoya is so present in the kids' lives. as i posted above, forget race, these kids are going to have far more worrisome issues to deal with in years to come.
