Hit Pics "rememory" of the day..."Some Kind Of Lover" by Jody Watley Heard it in the car and I'm sure folks thought I was crazy! What a great voice! I wish they would have played "I'm Looking For A New Love" back to back with this one. Total jams! I love eighties music

Okay..we definately need to DEVOTE A THREAD TO Ms Jody!! I absolutely IDOLIZED her back in the day!! Her style was incredible. I played the hell outta the first album so much I had to buy another one a few months later. I think I collected Jody about as much as I collected Prince back in the day.

not to get off topic, but i came across the vinyl 12" of "still a thrill" the other day at a record show...does anyone have this and is it worth getting? is it a remix or an extended version of the song? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanx! | |

Jody's solo disc busted out just at the right time! She jammed and won a Grammy for "Best New Artist", presented to her by Little Richard... (in one of the most funniest presentations..."Shaddup, Y'all never gave me nothin'!")
