A reunion performance by Beatles Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison DVD

Sir Paul McCartney is to go on the road again and perform the biggest package of Beatles songs Britain has ever seen.

His first UK tour for a decade begins in April and the show will be a two-and-a-half hour extravaganza including 22 tracks by the Fab Four.

Even when The Beatles were at their peak they rarely played more than a dozen a night.

Meanwhile, a reunion performance by Beatles Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison is to be seen by the public for the first time.

The session, filmed in 1994, is the only time the three played together following the band's split in 1970.

The rare hour-long footage was shot at Harrison's studios at Friar Park, his mansion in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire.

It is due to be released at the end of next month and could be one of the biggest-selling DVDs ever.

The trio got together 14 years after the death of fourth Beatle John Lennon to record a string of classics.

The session was filmed in June 1994 for possible inclusion in the 1996 Beatles Anthology video but in the end only a minute-long segment was shown on US TV.

Harrison died in November 2001 after a long battle with cancer. Lennon was shot dead outside his home in New York in December 1980.

The proposed playlist for Paul McCartney's UK tour is as follows...

All My Loving, Blackbird, Back in the USSR, Can't Buy Me Love, Carry That Weight, Getting Better, Hello Goodbye, We Can Work It Out, Mother Nature's Son, She's Leaving Home, Michelle, Fool On The Hill, Something, Eleanor Rigby, Here There And Everywhere, Let It Be, Hey Jude, The Long And Winding Road, Lady Madonna, I Saw Here Standing There, Yesterday, Sgt. Pepper, The End.
