I call bullshit. People are tired of Beyonce but they have forgotten when she was in Destiny's Child how she was touted as this hot vocalist bringing her own new style to R&B. In my opinion, she overdid it with all of those runs on every song but at the same time, that was HER thing and not a lot of R&B singers were doing the multi-scale thing IN R&B. In gospel, yes. In R&B, notsomuch. She did have her own style and has had a lot of imitators. The problem with Beyonce is not her voice, its her media oversaturation.

Simon promotes way more crappier artists. Beyonce actually does excite me in some degree lol so he's wrong. I honestly don't give a fuck what Simon thinks anyway. He promotes Leona Lewis and Il Divo. Nuff said.

It's telling, ain't it? And for the record, Simon himself denied he ever said that about either performer. So it's interesting. Still don't deny the fact he promotes artists that to my opinion are not worth shit lol

Forget about gospel & hip-hop/r&b, they weren't doing the multi-scale thing in dance-pop neither before Beyonce did it throughout the 2000's.
