the only song i like of his is Runaway.... maybe cause he seems to actually try to sing in it and not just autotune the fuck out of his voice like in his other songs... plus it seems a pretty good well written song... and i really like the video too.... everything else he's done however is just rubbish to my ears

I agree. OP, if you listen rap, I suggest listening to his debut and/or Late Registration. He's not a good rapper, in my opinion. And yeah, he acts like a jackass at times. But he's great at putting together cohesive albums. No filler.

I dunno maybe it's just because it's easier to grow sick of hearing the same names over and over again because there are so many more media outlets. It just seems like he's overproduced or something I dunnno. I just can't separate the hype from a real gift in an artist because it seems like anyone can just be thrown together and "made famous" without really needing much in the way of originality and/or talent. *Cough* Rihanna *Cough*
