This song is so funkalicious. I found it on a cassette at a recca stowe in my area and i play it more oft then not on the way to work. the voca harmony, man the harmony has no word to describe it.

It was a hit all around the musical realm at the time of its' release.

Genesis vocalist and drummer Phil Collins cited the song as one of the musical inspirations for "Misunderstanding". The members of Toto have also cited it as an inspiration for "Hold the Line".

heck even the beachboys did a cover of sly and the fam's 'hot fun in the summertime.'

it's not as funky as the original, but i can still appreciate their (brian wilson's) appreciation of such a beautiful soulful song.

Sounded like a waltz played at a gothic funeral.

It's like dark and bright at the same time.
