I would play the Salt-N-Pepa inspired/rip-off Pump It, except that Google/YouTube still has the video banned no thanks to Warner Music Group being total bitches about it.

I don't mind her rapping. But then I like pop rap in general, and it was all the rage around 1990/1991. Prince dropped the album too late to cash in on all that (though I think the album was originally ready for 1991?).

didn't know that....wonder what took him so long to drop the album?

WB wern't happy apparantly with the original tracklisting apparantly. About 5 completely finished and mixed outtakes exist. I actually prefer a few of the outtakes to the finished thing. I think "go go dancer" (which resembles "Thunder" to me) was a late add to the album.

If we're talking recent rappers, Eternia. She's one of my favorite rappers, period. Unfortunately, I couldn't find much on YouTube from her album the Setup, which is some of her best stuff. But this will still give you an idea:

She's not frontin', she's not acting stupid, she's trying to do something positive, ergo...she gets no play.

no one here is up on Jean Grey? (i know that's an XMen ripoff name, but...) She's dope. Haven't wiki, You Tubed or googled her but should be some stuff out there. Underground chick with skills. She's collabed with The Roots, etc.

^ Jean Grae is one of my faves and this cut is one of her best ever:

It's about her abortion, rap music with deep and meaningful lyrics.
