Omer isn't Michael's son, Paris confirmed that on her twitter page, when aked why is she calling him his brother, she said, only because they are really close, but no, the rumours aren't true, Omer isn't a Jackson... wink

I believe that Omer is Micheal's son mainly because Joe Jackson said that he is in an interview. Omer hung out with Micheal a lot since he was a young boy and is still hanging out with the family?

On interviews, Omer never explicitedly states his relationship with the family. If he was just a close family friend, why does he not say so, instead of being so vague?

LOL it is well known in Norway who Omer's parents are and MJ is not his father. you also have Paris twitter statement.

Omer is using this mystery to his advantage. He is trying a music carrier. This is why he is vague.

I will say this though, Omer looks more like MJ than Paris and Prince even though Omer isn't related to MJ. That ought to tell you something lol

I just hope it's nothing like Thriller 25. Here's hoping they treat MJ with some respect as an artist this time.

If a clear DVD of the second leg of the Bad tour is not released alongside this project, I swear I'm really going to flip out and lose all hope for a future release of that tour. I really don't understand why they won't do it. I hate the fact that tour, Victory, Rhythm Nation and the janet. tour have no proper commercial releases.

And what about a J5 concert on DVD, Destiny tour second leg (which included Off the Wall songs) and last but not least Triumph tour which is the best tour ever by J5/Jacksons/MJ/Janet according to many people.

Those would be great, but they exist somewhere. I have some clips of them on DVD. Plus Motown is different from Epic, so I'm not sure what kind of clearance would be needed for a J5 show.

I understand Motown is different from Epic but what concerts exist on an official DVD other than Dangerous Bukarest? I had no idea.

They should have released The Triumph tour on DVD this year celebrating 30 years anniversary. Jackie Jackson is a consultatant of MJ's estate and best friends with executor John McClain. Start bombarding Jackie about this. I can't understand why they don't do anything about this.

Honestly???? Between Paris and Joe Jackson who do you you think I believe more??? lol Remember he also said that he never beat his children and that he and Katherine are still a family, so frankly, I don't believe anything he sais. neutral Nevertheless, I do believe that MJ did treat Omer as his son and that his children call him "bro" for a reason.

I know it's unofficial, and I have no idea how it got in stores, but it was the last piece and I never saw it afterwards in any store. eek Hope I didn't ruin the conversation. boxed

Jackson family to stage Japanese benefit concert

Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson with mum Katherine and singer AI
Michael Jackson's family are staging a benefit concert to help children affected by the Japanese earthquake.
The King of Pop's mother Katherine Jackson has announced the Tokyo event will help a cause that her superstar son - who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 - would have done everything he could to support.
Speaking at a press conference at Claridge's hotel in London yesterday (09.10.11), she tearfully told BANG Showbiz: "If Michael was alive, he would definitely have done something to help the victims of the earthquake in Japan. Michael loved children, he would have felt for those children who lost parents or homes."
Michael's brothers will perform at the show as The Jacksons, and 81-year-old Katherine - who is the guardian of Michael's three children, Paris, Prince Michael and 'Blanket' - is very "glad to see them back on stage".
The 'Thriller' singer's brothers can't wait to get to the country and do something to help the Japanese people affected by the natural disaster which hit the coast of the Far East country in March.
Jackie Jackson said: "This concert can help children. I'm glad I can put smile on their faces again."
Marlon Jackson added: "Music can bring us together. Children can't live without guidance. We want to point out kids to right direction. I'm pleased music can help other people."
Tito Jackson - who visited Japan after the earthquake - spoke of his belief that music can unify communities all over the world.
He said: "People can become one, as human race."
Merchandising profits from 'Michael Jackson Tribute Live' - which will take place in Tokyo on December 13 and 14 - will be donated to ASHINAGA, a charity which helps children who lost their homes or families in the March earthquake.
Tickets will go on sale on October 12.

they probably did a cost/benefit analysis and found it wasn't worth the money going after them - yet. while latoya's company is boasting 50K in attendance, sources say that's because many tix were given away. they tried to do pay per views and a facebook stream, but the labels stepped in and shut that whole thing down so the estate didn't have to. i'm wondering, though, based on weitzman's public letter, whether the estate will continue to press for an accounting of the "charity proceeds" aspect. they are responsible for maintaining mj's image so if these people have used mj's image to perpetrate a fraud by misleading the public (which i think they have), then it may not be the last we've heard from them on this point. they have a fiduciary responsibility to protect his brand. can't have mj's name connected with crooks, even if they are his family.

^ That's why they don't wanna admit they only did 40,000 and it's possible 30,000 of them were giveaway tickets. I know 10,000 really wanted to go to pay tribute but the 30,000? I don't know about them. lol

Anybody can sing anybodies song. There is not really a way to forbid it. When it comes to releasing it as a single or streaming it on the net or tv that's a different story! And why would they forbid it? To make matters even worse and look even more foolish in the process. Besides, Michael's children were involved. They are actually the ones owning all of Michael's stuff. Not McClain and Branca. So whatever. Apart from the artists (or lack off), it didn't seem like a total desaster after all. Good.

I'm not sure who owns the J5 material (Motown should've released a dvd of them a long time ago)

but with the 1976-1984 footage, its owned by either 3 teams

-The Jackson Brothers (Peacock Productions or Jackson Productions)

-Michael's estate (They own the Triumph Tour concert in LA that was possibly planned for release)

-Sony

From what I know, neither team can agree on a clear term, which is why it's difficult to release something neutral

La Toya Jackson to come out of retirement for Michael Jackson concert

Thursday, September 29 2011, 5:39pm EDT5
By Tom Eames, Entertainment Reporter

La Toya Jackson

LaToya Jackson has announced that she will perform at her brotherMichael Jackson's tribute concert next month.

The singer has been added to the 'Michael Forever' lineup at the Millennium Stadium on October 8, alongside the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Leona Lewis, Christina Aguilera and JLS.

The performance will be La Toya's first in 20 years. She revealed: "There will never be another magical moment such as this to celebrate Michael with his fans."

Brothers Jermaine and Randy Jackson have opposed the concert, as it is timed alongside the current Conrad Murray manslaughter trial. Her sister Janet Jackson has also said that she will not appear.

La Toya claimed that mother Katherine encouraged her to perform in Wales instead of appearing in court.

"In speaking with my mother yesterday, I asked her where she thinks Michael would rather have us be - in this courtroom filled with negativity and lies, or on a stage celebrating his music, his legacy and his life," she explained.

"She said without a second of thought, 'Celebrating his life with family and fans'. I am looking forward to putting on a great show and making my brother proud."

La Toya Jackson's biggest hits include 1983's 'Heart Don't Lie' and 'Bet'cha Gonna Need My Lovin''.

Anyone can perform a song live - they don't require permission.

Permission would be needed if they wanted to use his name or image from the estate, and if they were to release a dvd or cd of the even they would require permission from Sony for publishing.
