A Tribe Called Quest Documentary We saw it this weekend, and were a bit disappointed, as it seemed many were in our sold out theatre. I don't really think Rappaport knew what story he was trying to tell, or maybe there just really wasn't enough of a story for a full length doc? I didn't get much of a sense of how they really came together in the band, through the industry, or created their work. It seemed shallow on the music side when the music was/is so deep, and overly dramatic on the interpersonal conflict side when the beef seemed so shallow. It was fine, because anything about ATCQ is going to be decent, but not at all what I anticipated. Any other reviews?

It tells you exactly how and when they met, why they bonded, and who got them into the music industry.

Eh, it was not well developed. That took all of 10 minutes if that. Perhaps there just isn't more to the story.

I greatly enjoyed it. The topic was certainly a worthy one and I thought it flowed pretty well. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I haven't seen it yet, but I intend to.
One thing though, I'm annoyed by both of the director and Q-Tip. I just they would stfu and let their work do the talking from here on out since BOTH agreed to do this film, instead of all this fued talk between them.
