Lush. Warm. Emotive, yet understated. And it only feels like a moment has passed by when the song is over. With this song, "I like to go there" cool

At this point in history, we have a choice to make
To either, walk the path of love, or be crippled by our hate

Tortilla

One of the greatest songs of all time.

Remembering when it was first experienced...

My first love playing Innervisions on vinyl for me, breaking my Stevland Morris cherry. lol I reclined on the floor for the duration of both sides, but "Golden Lady" sealed the deal. It's such a perfect Side A closer. Perfection.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

tA is killing it in this forum as usual! woot! I had to dig out some Stevie a couple of days ago (inspired by SNCDLS's thread). This album is killer. My 4-yr-old and 16 month old sons go crazy over "Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing"!!

Now that's my favorite song on the album! I actually like most of the songs more than "Golden Lady," which just shows how great an album Innervisions is.

TRUE!

When Iwas going through the Stevie binge I mentioned earlier I looked like a CD addict, shoving one CD in after the next, my kids grooving hard the the whole time from "Maybe Your Baby" to "That Girl" and all songs in between. music Today its SITKOL, all day long!
