they've been one of my favorites for the past 10 years. i have tickets to see them for the 4th time on october 20th.
you are in for a treat. my favorite album is decoration day, followed closely by southern rock opera (i cry at the end of this album every time)...go go boots, the dirty south....awesome. favorite songs are the southern thing (3 guitar attack in full force), the fireplace poker (this song listens like a comic book, to me), where the devil don't stay (one of cooley's best, imo).
patterson hood's songs are generally my favorite...and mike cooley's...and jason isbell's...shit, they're all so good. shonna's i could take or leave. |
