Definbitely in my Top 3 MJ tracks of all time. Simply stunning production and vocal performance. And might I add, 100% written and produced by the man himself. I agree, when he's not thinking about the charts he really can tap into your brain with a timeless classic.

when a track has 'written and produced by MJ' on it, it always shows. They Don't Care About Us, Stranger in Moscow, Morphine, Speechless. U might not like them all, but u can't deny the power behind them. Anyweez, Stranger in Moscow is classic.

Hahaha man, your grasping at straws to prove a point here. Since when are "Childhood" and "Speechless" amongst the best songs he's ever done? biggrin

I THINK HIStory is MJs best album, most of it was written and produced by MJ, how can u say it is uninspired, its the angriest pop record ever, full of emotion and controversy at the same time, listen 2 DS again!

1 Scream w Janet - ok this song wasnt the best comeback but i love the sly bass line Thankufalletinmebmicelfagain!
2 TDCAU - great bass great lyrics
3 Stranger in Moscow - Masterpiece
4 This time around - first average song
5 Earth Song - pure anger, pure genius
6 DS - Weak lyrics, strong hidden message about Thomas Sneddon
7 Money - Great track, a grower
8 Come Together - BEatles cover, probably the best beatles cover there is
9 YANA - his best love song
10 Childhood - masterpiece
11 Tabloid Junkie - Great message, lyrics, funky uptempo track
12 2bad - wyclef remix was great
13 history - masterpiece
14 little susie - amazing, really sad but beautiful
15 smile - great album closer 4 an angry record nb SCream/SMile

I'm sure he loves him some "Lost Children" also, another solo production.

Childhood, Little Suzie and Smile are insipid garbage to me. The whole "angry MJ" thing on DS, Money, Tabloid Junkie (and recently Privacy) has become a tired cliche IMO.

I'm surprised no one listed "Money" (from the same album as "Stranger In Moscow" - The HIStory discs... I always thought that one stood out, and should'a been released as a single.

Money is a fantastic song. It was scheduled to be a single in mid to late 1997 but the BOTDF remix project had already got underway after Ghosts got released, nd it was promoting the tour.

Yeah--where everything gets messed in a earth storm and the camera shakes it up etc...I like. But I wish MJ would come more down to earth, back to basics small scaled videos that emphasize his music and himself as a performer with no special efects and no screaming audience-fans etc. A TRC package deal like...return to form, return to the music and not an attempt at greatness for each endeavor. His catalogue and voice is enough to make that happen imo.

I preferred the Stranger In Moscow video. It wasn't a hugh budget thing. Earth Song was effective for the time though. I mean it did become his biggest worldwide hit to date despite not even being released in the USA. People always slag off HIStory, but in 1995 he was still THE MAN in Europe, Australia and South America.

it was a tight Groove that would have been a cool Single but "Stranger In Moscow" still blows it to bits IMHO.

I enjoyed that Video but MJ made me Madd for Burrying the Horn in the Mix of that Song.it was a Nice Horn part in there that is Burried.I dug How he went through differnt regions to crasp the Nature of that Song.

thank you.David Foster needs to chill on the Heavy-Handed Strings all blown all over the place.Mike's Vocals were nice on that Song but the Strings&Soap Opera Feel didn't work for me after a while. It's a decent Song but nothing that Mozart would blink at twice.
