If you have not heard this song, YOU MUST!

This is one of the best pop songs ever written.. hell i'd say one of the best ever. Dark, but happy and very meaningful. This is just a fantatsic song that shows pop/electropop/New Wave etc. Could be very deep.

I totally agree.

David Bowie once said that the best pop music was that who succeded in combining melancholy and enthusiasm. If so, this one is one of the best pop songs ever. Certainly, the best Pet Shop Boys tune. The lyrics are not only meaningful: they are the truth.

It is one of the finest pop songs of the last 25 years, no question. Beautifully written and produced. Poignant and sad while hopeful.

This is my fave PSB track and it's in my top 10 fave of any artist. I was listening 2 this a lot weeks ago when I got the Behaviour/ Further listening Edition....and the video is beautiful 2! Such an underrated track!

Very! this song went nowhere in the US, it was a top 40 hit in the UK but was even consederid a bomb there. Behavior has replaced Actualy as my favorite album by them.

Curiously enough, Neil has always said that they tried to make the chorus of this song sound like Stock-Aitken-Waterman. It's strange to associate a song as deep and meaningful as this one with SAW, but if you think about it, it's true. This proves how Pet Shop Boys have always been aware of the more commercial sounds of their time, not fearing even to use them in their own work; think for example in their last studio album, the awesome Yes, with Xenomania all over the place.

Fuck that the PSB are one of the best Pop Groups EVER.

Fuck what? I don't know if you were refering to my comment, but I didn't meant to criticize them for being commercial or something. I think they've very frequently found the right balance between quality and integrity on the one side and commercial sounds on the other. I think it's a big merit of theirs.

And yes, I agree that Pet Shop Boys are among the best pop groups ever, together with The Beatles, The Kinks, The Beach Boys and Prefab Sprout. That is my top 5.

Neil is not ugly by any means. He is not toally my type since i am INCREDIBLY into asians. But i would have a night with Neil just because of his artistic writing & vision , talent is sexier then look's to me anyday

BTW Introspecitive is a good album i adore I'm Not Scared but i DESPISE that long house remix of Always on my mind!..

Any who so far Behavior is my favorite album from them.

They are!, some might look at them as one of those ''silly'' pop groups of the 80's. But they are way more, Great lyrics by Neil & Chris does some great work on the synths. There is also a lot of hate on synths.. idk why. There instruments so why the hate?

I admire for how long they have been doing great music. Just look at the careers of the most important synth groups of the 80's: Human League, Soft Cell, Yazoo, etc. They all waned in a few years, although some have reformed later with little success. No one can compare to Pet Shop Boys: more than 25 years without stopping.
