Pics: Rihanna's New Wax Figure Unveiled in Berlin

Pop siren Rihanna is known for wearing skimpy outfitsand barely-there bikinis, but take a look at her new wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Berlin, Germany.

Va-va-voom! The sexy figurine was unveiled today at the museum and it’s making us blush.

The statue of the Barbadian songbird features the colorful outfit she wore in David Guetta‘s video for ‘Who’s That Chick?‘ complete with garter belts, purple pantyhose and her signature fiery red hair (which she has recently switched out for a less-red look).

Honestly, this has to be the most risqué statue Madame Tussauds has ever done on a female celebrity — not that we are complaining. In comparison, Rihanna’s waxy doppelgänger at Madam Tussauds in Washington, D.C. is quite tamer than the one in Berlin. I guess the Germans are a little freer and, uh, sexist with their statues.

Well, I kind of agree but then again Rihanna's whole image is based on sex.

Well then maybe the commentary needs to be on that...

I'm just tired of women artist using sex in their arsenal in order to be deemed relevant.

I have no problem with a woman displaying sexuality for the sake of self expression & art.

I don't find artistry in this...

It reeks of commercialized sexual advertisement.

It's not ground breaking.

It's just using sex because its sex and it appeals to people.

I feel this is somewhat demeaning to women.

Building them up as only sexual objects...

I agree with you completely. But I think the saddest part is that women like Rihanna, for example, are the ones doing this to themselves.

I feel like Madonna, for example, was genuine in her sexuality. I mean people know her for being so sexualized but when you actually listen to her lyrics they are deep and they have meaning. No, not her singles, but her actual music on her albums. She pondered and questioned sexuality.

But someone like Rihanna is just using sexuality to her advantage because she knows she's gorgeous and she has a great body, so she can easily use that and be popular/etc... I once read an article about her in vogue. I saw this issue in my school library and picked it up cus I had nothing better to do, she looked absolutely gorgeous on the cover. So I read it, and I remember the person who wrote the article talked about her day with Rihanna and said that the sexy was all an act, that she was really sweet &nothing like that in person, and for example she liked to read people and figure people out, and she seemed rather smart from how she was being described. She talked about how she grew up always being the good girl, and her dad was addicted to cocaine, so she had a lot of problems. It seems to me that she feels that she needs to do this to break out of her shell. But it's not genuine. I mean, even in her interviews she seems like a really cool person who has a lot of personality going for her and I just think it's sad that people don't really see that. When I look at her as an artist all I see is sex and it's so very uninteresting. I hate her as an artist. And I know that I don't know her personally, but she seems like a really great person. I mean, the only song I liked by her was 'Man Down.' I think that was her best work. I love seeing her serious, even the video, I think, was really great and I could see her possibly being a great artist if she did stuff like that. But her lyrics about partying and sex and drinking is just cringe-worthy and I hate to see that she needs to do that to sell. Her 'sexuality' is not sincere, and it's completely unreal. That's the sad part about this.

And it's not just her, but a lot of female artists unfortunately try to be this commercialized sex symbol like all they are are a bunch of tits and ass. Beyonce does the same thing, but I think she's waaaay worse about it. Someone needs to step up and change the game.

Feminism is all inclusive and about equality, men can have feminist views too, more of them should. However, I think this outfit was based on what she wears in her videos and stage shows though I also think they could have chosen another tour outfit of hers.

Well said. I just wish it just be about the talent again with female singers. Thats why I really appreciate artists like Adele and Janalle Monae who really try to put emphasis on their CRAFT and not their image. I mean clearly if you are attractive people can see that without all the skin out, booty shaking and trying to be sexy... its just so tired now.

The statue don't really seem sexist... since that's about all she wears anyway. lol But I can see how someone can think that based on RiRi's entire persona.

Totally agree MJ, it seems more about the image than substance. I cannot for the life of me understands why Katy Perry and Rihanna are "famous". It's almost like this new generation adores people who have little to no talent and appear to have it all. Welcome to 21st century narcissism, I'll take your order as soon as I update my status on facebook with all 1,348 of my closest friends that I haven't heard the sound of their voice in 3 years....*eyeroll*

I mean, I don't mind it being about image too. I do enjoy the effort and thought being put into every aspect, including image, style, etc. But it's not just about that. People fail to back everything up and make it all worth it. The talent and the craft is the base of it all, there's nothing wrong with building on that with image and what not, but there has to be a core to everything that is done. Without that, it's just worthless.
