Holdind On To You - TTD

I've never paid the attention this song really deserves up until 2 day! Brilliant

His vocal performance is particularly brilliant here, and the song is very good. However the album, Vibrator, had in my opinion some flaws, which was something new, as the three previous ones had been top from beginning to end.

Well as some people on the org know, i have been in a huge TTD phase. His 4 albums before turning into Sananda are absolute brilliance upon brilliance.

I have started getting into his Sananda stuff as well, this song is excellent!

Glad to see this man getting love on the org

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

For me Vibrator is the one TTD album on which I completely love every single song worship. I love his other albums too, but Vibrator for me is his best work from start to finish.

Holding On To You is my favourite song ever by any artist: it's just pefect IMO.

With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I just found this video of George Michael covering "Let Her Down Easy" in Prague.

The reason why I posted this video here, is because, at the beginning of the performance, he talks about how Sony ruined TTD's career by failing to promote him and keeping him signed.

Also he encourages the audience to go out and buy the "Vibrator" album. Pretty cool of him. cool

I really must say, though, about as much as I love George Michael, nobody can sing "Let Her Down Easy" like TTD.

George Michael has a really good taste when choosing soul covers. His version of Stevie Wonder's They Won't Go When I Go in Listen Without Prejudice is amazing. I heard it before Stevie's own version. Now, while I prefer Stevie's, I think George's isn't very far.

Yes, I also heard George's version of "They Wont Go When I Go" before I heard Stevie's.

Ditto for "I Believe When I Fall In Love" and "Love's in need of love today."

Same goes for songs like "Sexual Healing" and "If I Were Your Woman."

good to know George appreciated TTD.

Holding on To You is just aiight to me. It feels forced. I'd say its kinda overrated among TTD fans.

I guess I'll have to go get Neither Fish Nor Flesh after all these years and see what i've missed

It's a great album. As I said before, it's not my favourite of his, but it has impressive songs such as Read My Lips, Undeniably and C.Y.F.M.L.A.Y., to name only three.

Well, each TTD fan will tell you something different. I've known here in the org people who choose Vibrator as their favourite (Serious, are you there? wink), others say his first album was his best, while I choose the second, surely his least commercial effort, but his most exciting also, in my opinion.

Anyway, you're sure to enjoy his music. He is an extremely talented musician. wink
