I absolutely hated this song the first time I heard it and my sentiment hasn't changed since! The "la da dee la dee dowww" GRATES my last nerve!
I love "100% Pure Love" though. | |

I think that this song was AWESOME!!!
Yeah...they ran it into the ground with so much airplay...but how can you hear it and NOT want to shake your booty!?!?!?! Did anyone ever see the skit they did on "In Living Color" where they poked fun at Crystal Waters and the video for this song? By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory! | |

I remember back in 1991 or '92 when MTV had a weekly show that I used to LOVE called "House Party" on fridays (I wish I had that on tape) and they would show all the top mainstream club/dance/house videos like Crystal Waters' "La Da Di", Cathy Dennis "Touch Me (All Night Long)", Black Box "Strike It Up", Cece Peniston "Finally," Technotronic, Londonbeat "I've Been Thinkin' About You", Neneh Cherry "Buffalo Stance", Heavy D "Now Dat We Found Love!", Inner City "Good Life" and basically all the stuff you would hear on any "Dance Party USA" TV Commercial LOL! But yeah, those songs used to be the jams and I'm not ashamed to say I love them. I remember MTV News had a segment on the then-newest dance craze called "Voguing" and "Tribal Dancing"...ahh those were da dayz.
Oh yeah, I used to love "100% Pure Love" that song was the cut ---> "you'll never hafta runaway, you'll alwayz have a friend to play, you'll never go out on ur own, in me u will find a HOOO-oh-mah, HOOO-oh-mah, from da back to da middle and around again I'm gonna be dere til the end 100 percent...pure, love!"

I stil dig that song. It always makes me wanna dance. 100% Pure Love is the shiznit too. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
