Even if I love Brian's voice I guess I'll stick with the original H&O version. There's also this other H&O cover floating around, pretty good in my opinion:

Brian's version sounds really nice, but nothing tops the original. Simply Red sampled ICGFT to perfection in their 2003 single "Sunrise".

Hall and Oates are fucking awesome. This isn't even a contest.

Like Brian a lot but how can you go against Hall & Oates here. It was a staple on r&b radio just as much as pop radio that year. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Brian sounded excellent in covering it but you always gotta roll with the original brothas from anotha motha. Stevie Wonder = EARTH
Prince = WIND Chaka Khan = FIRE Sade = WATER the ELEMENTS of MUSIC

I'm a Hall & Oates fan all the way...although I have to say that Brian McKnight's cover of "Sara" is excellent, I still have to give H&O's my vote there as well. It's one of my favorite songs ever!

Going with Hall & Oates although I'm a Brian fan (his instrumentation skills and vocals live are always good.)
