What a great performance! I've got so many wonderful memories associated with that song. I miss The Midnight Special. Hell, I miss the 70's!

A classic!
I met them in 2003 after a show and they are really cool guys. They mentioned that they're working on new material.I hope someday we get a new Brothers Johnson album.

One of their many great songs. They've got some great album covers too. I know I used to give my hand many a workout staring at the white pants on this album cover....

I have great admiration for their work. You rarely even hear voices that heavy in contemporary R&B these days. Everybody sounds prepubescent. Half of them are.

Lucky dog! I would LOVE to have met The Brothers Johnson (...or to have even ever seen them perform live, for that matter). I would snatch-up a new album by them without even hearing the first note!

I was lucky enough to get to see them on the "Blam" tour in '78 (opened for the Commodores)
I was so young that my dad had to take me. My father is the most un-hip white dude you'd EVER meet...and to this day he still gets all drop-jawed over that show.
"When that guy (Lewis on bass) threw that guitar on the FLOOR & started playin it with his FOOT??? I never saw ANYthing like THAT before" he goes. Funk Is It's Own Reward
