Although Murray's version was the bigger hit on the Billboard Hot 100 USA Singles Charts, Robey's version did better on the Billboard Dance Charts. And besides, I think she was kind of sexy by 1980's standards.

But I've heard my share of questionable cover versions in recent years:

THIS^ is like an all-Asian Destiny's Child.

THIS^ is typical boy band formulated.

THIS^ is straight up electro euro house.

And then there is A*Teens' version. Thank goodness it was NEVER release as a single!

I got the 45 back in the day.

Thanks for sharing, I want to laugh at the first two versions, but I like them though nothing beats Murray Head

From what I've read somewhere, Tim Rice wrote the lyrics with some assistance by Bjorn, while Benny did the actual music.
