Jermaine's version of "Blame it on the boogie" is so pointless
What was he thinking? And this is why I will always snicker when some say Jermaine was a better singer than MJ. Compare the two. MJ KILLS him vocally in that song. Jermaine has a great voice, don't get me wrong, but his voice is really only suited for generic r&b songs. Very limited in what he can do. MJ on the other hand and could sing almost anything. Jermaine is missing that fire and joy in his voice that MJ had. "Torture", "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" and now "Blame it on the boogie " are clear examples if you wanna compare the two.
Only in "I Am Love" did I think Jermaine sounded better than MJ, but this song absolutely did not need a remake because the original by Mike cannot be topped.
Jermaine needs to sit his down somewhere . "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

What was you thinking to see him perform and 300 bucks him singing let’s get serious wouldn’t even get me to see him perform .

There were dozens of others at the gig I was interested in seeing too, or else I wouldn't have done it and it ended up being that much, cause my friend was a no-show

I've always felt that Michael is the only real "singer" in that family. The rest know how to hold notes in tune for pleasant, layered, backup-vocal purposes, but that's really about it. Jermaine is still proving that today. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

It's cause the other half was for someone who was a no-show and I bought them off kijiji but I saw a few dozen people in addition to him that were worth seeing. [Edited 8/16/11 22:10pm]

Who was the no-show? And who were the other performers? I hate no-shows! I remember I went to an AIDS benefit concert many years ago with Bruce Springsteen, Tracey Chapman, Peter Gabriel and others. I especially went to see Sting but he didn't show up. I was steamed! "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Why didn't Jermaine and the brothers release the "Saturday Night" song from the A and E reality show? "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

I would pass the fuck out if he really did sing "let's wait a while" and "nasty"

I agree that the rest of the Jacksons are limited to being background singers with one exception, Jermaine. Jermaine did have good vocals. He was the perfect co-lead to Mike in J5 and some of his solo stuff is actually good.

Most people say that, but I'm sorry, I just can't agree. I dislike his voice the most (yep, more than LaToya's). Since I was little, I've always skipped past his solo J5 tracks, and would usually fast-forward through most of his parts in co-lead songs (except for in "I Am Love" and "Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin'," which are the only Jermaine lead vocals I can tolerate), lol. I'm kind of surprised the brothers and Janet haven't raided Michaels vaults and recorded new vocals the way McCartney, Ringo, and Harrison did with 2 of John's songs.
Surprised no one mentioned the funny part about Jermaine doing this song is that he was out of the group when they recorded it.

People looking back or people that were not there at the time tend to misjudge Jermain's place in history. He stayed at Motown because he got married. He had a very successful run for a few years and a string of hits. (Early 80's) He is regarded as an outstanding bass player. I challenge you to show me one instance where someone said he was a better singer than MJ. I think you made that up to be dramatic. His problem was he completely hit the skids when his siblings (Michael and Janet) went stratospheric. And think this may have been the problem with the rest as well. Instead of having a good, solid caree, if they could not be like the other 2, they would do nothing. He is making bad choices now. Like the others said, such wasted opportunity and talent.

My eyes and ears are bleeding from this mess! LOL! I laughed so hard I can't see hardly whie typing this so there might be type-o's lolololol. This is horrible! Only Jermaine can manage to look and sound like 1986 all the damn time, LOL! By the way, no surprise he did this mess in France because he'd get killed here in America doing this ridiculous act. What a buffoon!!! Only version worse than this is from Luis Miguel: http://www.youtube.com/wa...bm6r51nPpo Trolls be gone!

They look a lot alike, don't they? And I'm I the only one that sees nothing funny or amusing or about any of this. I'm glad Jemaine ain't all strung out and shit, but come on man!! Put out your own damned music. You left the group over 30 years ago. MJ is gone. Let it go, dude. Get off your lazy ass and do shows of your own music 'cause the brothers ain't trying to reunite with yo ass. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!
