Jermaine's version of "Blame it on the boogie" is so pointless falloff

What was he thinking? And this is why I will always snicker when some say Jermaine was a better singer than MJ. Compare the two. MJ KILLS him vocally in that song. Jermaine has a great voice, don't get me wrong, but his voice is really only suited for generic r&b songs. Very limited in what he can do. MJ on the other hand and could sing almost anything. Jermaine is missing that fire and joy in his voice that MJ had. "Torture", "Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming" and now "Blame it on the boogie " are clear examples if you wanna compare the two.

Only in "I Am Love" did I think Jermaine sounded better than MJ, but this song absolutely did not need a remake because the original by Mike cannot be topped.

Jermaine needs to sit his down somewhere lol .

"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Oh, thank God. lol

Yeah it definitely was a joke lol but then again it's not so far from reality. I bet he don't even put out an album again. His career was down the crapper years ago and he hasn't even fought to revive it. A sad excuse of a talented musician I ever seen. He had a lot of potential but his ego ruined it mostly.

This pretty much sums up Jermaine's sorry butt, wasted talent. neutral

There were dozens of others at the gig I was interested in seeing too, or else I wouldn't have done it and it ended up being that much, cause my friend was a no-show

I've always felt that Michael is the only real "singer" in that family. The rest know how to hold notes in tune for pleasant, layered, backup-vocal purposes, but that's really about it. Jermaine is still proving that today.

Who was the no-show? And who were the other performers? I hate no-shows! mad I remember I went to an AIDS benefit concert many years ago with Bruce Springsteen, Tracey Chapman, Peter Gabriel and others. I especially went to see Sting but he didn't show up. I was steamed! mad lol

Why didn't Jermaine and the brothers release the "Saturday Night" song from the A and E reality show?

I agree that the rest of the Jacksons are limited to being background singers with one exception, Jermaine. Jermaine did have good vocals. He was the perfect co-lead to Mike in J5 and some of his solo stuff is actually good.

Most people say that, but I'm sorry, I just can't agree. I dislike his voice the most (yep, more than LaToya's). lol Since I was little, I've always skipped past his solo J5 tracks, and would usually fast-forward through most of his parts in co-lead songs (except for in "I Am Love" and "Tell Me I'm Not Dreamin'," which are the only Jermaine lead vocals I can tolerate), lol. shrug

I'm kind of surprised the brothers and Janet haven't raided Michaels vaults and recorded new vocals the way McCartney, Ringo, and Harrison did with 2 of John's songs.

Surprised no one mentioned the funny part about Jermaine doing this song is that he was out of the group when they recorded it.

People looking back or people that were not there at the time tend to misjudge Jermain's place in history. He stayed at Motown because he got married. He had a very successful run for a few years and a string of hits. (Early 80's) He is regarded as an outstanding bass player. I challenge you to show me one instance where someone said he was a better singer than MJ. I think you made that up to be dramatic. His problem was he completely hit the skids when his siblings (Michael and Janet) went stratospheric. And think this may have been the problem with the rest as well. Instead of having a good, solid caree, if they could not be like the other 2, they would do nothing. He is making bad choices now. Like the others said, such wasted opportunity and talent.

And you know what??? In the lot of post June 25th magazines I've bought, some of them made the mistake of putting that young Randy pictures thinking it was young Michael... Well, that picture appears in this video too, this video where he shows pics of Michael only...

Look at 0:53 on the right screen... sorry Jermaine... but this is Randy, not Michael...

[Edited 8/16/11 16:31pm]

They look a lot alike, don't they?

And I'm I the only one that sees nothing funny or amusing or about any of this. neutral I'm glad Jemaine ain't all strung out and shit, but come on man!! Put out your own damned music. You left the group over 30 years ago. MJ is gone. rose Let it go, dude. Get off your lazy ass and do shows of your own music 'cause the brothers ain't trying to reunite with yo ass.
