I haven't had much use for Jay-Z since Reasonable Doubt.

Good music makes me happy.

So uh I'm not understanding. Was this dude in original flavor before he went all gangsta drug dealer on us with reasonable doubt...if so doesn't that kind of break the narrative that we always hear him talk about...bad drug dealer gone good.

I'm just asking

1 over Jordan...the greatest since

I'm guessing it was during his time in high school when he slanged cocaine.

Hell, I don't hear very much about his second album In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 which I return to far more often than Reasonable Doubt.

I will even watch Streets Is Watching because of those songs being featured.

Never seen Streets is Watching. I always pictured it as a knock of I'm Bout It.

I sort of agree, but that said, it falls a bit short of being a masterpiece for me.

While the best stuff on here all rank at the top of my favorite Jay-Z songs, "Dead Presidents II", "D'Evils", "Can't Knock The Hustle", "22 Two's", "Brooklyn's Finest"....... overall I think "The Blueprint" contains better, more cohesive songwriting and unlike "Reasonable Doubt", I like every last song on it.
