Blasphemy or Blessing: Stevie Working w/Drake Don't know if this has been discussed yet but I read this the other day. Obviously it's a blessing for Drake but I kind of find it blasphemous that Stevie would want to work him. Drake you lucky bastard!

Drake enlists Stevie Wonder's help for albumDrake's upcoming album is already making "Headlines": the artist revealed to MuchMusic over the weekend that icon Stevie Wonder had a hand in creating his soon-to-be-released "Take Care." Drake calls the heralded singer a close friend, and said that he relied on Wonder to give him some feedback. "He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me...told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing," the 24-year-old star said. "Not only that, but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience."
Fans got to see the two team up at the OVO Music Festival in Toronto this past weekend, as Drake brought Wonder along to perform with him. "I...asked him to come by, and with no hesitation he hit me back like, 'I will be there,'" Drake said of setting up the gig. "He was supposed to do two songs and he did like six. It was incredible." Drake's "Take Care" drops on October 24. Are you looking forward to it? What do you think of his latest singles?

Stevie....NO!!!!
I thought once and for all, I'd forgive you for that Obama single, "All About The Love Again." But now, I don't know. Like you said in "Love's In Need Of Love Today": "Stop it please, before it's gone too far..." Check me out and add me on:

Stevie needs to get out of that corporate state of mind. It's corrupting his judgment. I remember going WTF over and over when I first read about it like "Stevland, you CAN'T be serious!"

Stevie's not a music snob like some people. I've never heard Drake's stuff, but Stevie has never been selective. He's done session work with all kinds of acts. He's a nice guy. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

It ain't all about snobbery, genius. We know good and well he wants the younger kids to know who he is outside the occasional Glee cover.

Stevland better be working on that new album...6 years! Check me out and add me on:

It's probably done but his kids sat on it. I keed, I keed. But seriously, he's got like 100 projects he's working on and he doesn't even finish them. The fuck gives?!

If this is the case, why did he have people like En Vogue, Paul McCartney, Prince, and India.Arie on his last album and announced he was making a duet album with Tony Bennett? He's not going to attract the youth with them. He would have gone the Charlie Wilson, El DeBarge, Mariah Carey, & Ronald Isley route. Those artists are NICE. Drake isn't.

^^ Plus if you read it, it said DRAKE'S ALBUM, not Stevie's. Though Stevie did add to one of Paul's albums for "Ebony & Ivory" lmao

Stevie who? Oh yeah, that guy --the one who releases a new album every 10 years. I can't be bothered to miss him anymore. At least this gets him outta the house.

Stevie also played harmonica on one of N Sync's songs. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. I know. He also did a duet with 98 Degrees. I was like "oh come on Stevie!"

Disappointed? Somewhat.
Surprised? Absolute not. Think of it as Steve Wonder (Prince) & Drake (Tony M).
That is all.

In that case, Stevie's been laughing all the way to the bank! I still remember reading about his duet with the Jonas Brothers.
