The Beatles ~ It's All Too Much {Long version} You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Isn't the "short" version long enough?

Several of the Fabs songs were edited down to fit on albums or singles. I think even Revolution 9 was longer. I like the mix on the 1999 version of the Yellow Submarine album. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

This is the original album:
This is the 1999 remastered & mixed version:
The original album is half Beatles songs and half George Martin instrumentals. The later version has all of the Beatles songs that were actually in the movie (which included previously released songs), and the instrumentals are left off. I wish the 2009 remasters were mixed like this.

I love this song, maybe because I am a huge fan of the Beatles!

I know! That was the one big mistake in the 9/9/09 remasters. The mono box is awesome, but they should've remixed the stereo like on the Yellow Submarine Songtrack.
Always loved this song. George is my favorite Beatle.

Yeah the sound is more fuller on the 1999 album. I think the original albums sound like that (vocals on one channel & music on the other) is because Abbey Road only had 4 track machines back then and they did a lot of overdubbing on the later material. 4 track consoles is the reason why music had to be recorded live with all of the musicians and singers in the room at the same time. But when The Beatles and other groups started doing effects, copying to other tape had to be done. This could be only be done so many times before sound quality started to dip because of tape hiss.
