A lot of people claimed to have conceived children while listening to Barry's music. I've never heard anyone say the same when they were listening to Loretta's "Fist City" or "Don't Come Home A-Drinkin" so I'll have to go with Barry on this one.

The Spacek vs. Cedric angle sounds real good (especially your punctuation - "Yeah...lets see you discuss that shit!"), but at the end of the day it is no more interesting a "vs" scenario than Loretty and Barry. Loretta went underrecognized for the politics that were inherent with being a woman writing and singing her own country music back in the day. And some of her subjects were quite brave.

For the vs. people this one is a Tim Gun MAKE IT WORK moment - Loretty vs. Barry - go!.

hmmm Yep ur right. Loretta was a tad befor her time. I'm not sure how many female country music singers were around in her day. She literally came from nothing and made herself a huge star and influence in the CM genre. Didn't she have a town or community named after her? confuse
