Joe: The Good, The Bad, The Sexy (Album Cover & Tracklist)
August 15, 2011
Joe Thomas is one of those R&B fans true R&B singers. A legend to some, under appreciated by many. The Grammy nominated crooner will release his ninth studio album, The Good, The Bad, The Sexy on September 27th.
With a return to the charts from surprise Urban AC hit “Closer” (off TD Jakes Sacred Love Songs II Compilation) earlier this year, Joe is prepping the release of his now anticipated album.
The singer released the first official single last week, the reflective breakup song “Losing.”

I'm surprised to see he's coming back, I thought we'd never hear from him again.
He actually did some pretty good songs though so I'm hopeful - hell, maybe he'll bring back real r&b. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

He's never really gone anywhere. His last album was released in 09 and his last single was released this past May. He doesn't get as much airplay as he used to, though.

Thanks for posting this. I am a fan of Joe and have a few of his albums, my faves being "All That I Am","My Name Is Joe" and "Better Days"
The last album in '09 "Signature" was a return to form for Joe, and perhaps didn't get the recognition it deserved.
I will definitely check out this new album. Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud

i thought his 2009 record was good stuff.

Is he inside a white honeycomb or what? Don't like the cover shot but I do like the font of the title. I probably would've been a lot more creative with the cover with a title like that but that's just me.
Hope its a winner for him though. He's been 2nd fiddle for a minute in the R&B world. Hopefully he has some heat waiting for his audience.

Is it any good? All of his projects sounds basically the same 2 me.

I agree. All of his projects sound alike. He takes NO risks at all.
I don't know if that's him or Kedar making those types of calls. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Oh, Joe...
Never been a big fan. I liked him in the beginning, love "All the Things (Your Man Won't Do)," and then a few assorted singles here and there, but I always think of him as a Poor Man's R. Kelly.
Starting with his debut single, these are the only Joe songs I'll ever need:
Joe - "I'm in Luv" [1993]
"All or Nothing" (Poor Georgie Porgie Mix) [1993]
"All the Things (Your Man Won't Do)" [1996]
"Don't Wanna Be a Player" [1997]
"Treat Her Like a Lady" [2000] Joe's best R. impersonation
"Stutter" [2000] "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

He can sing R. Kelly into a coma just like Faith would MJB. Stevie Wonder = EARTH
Prince = WIND Chaka Khan = FIRE Sade = WATER the ELEMENTS of MUSIC

I'd agree.
But they'll always be in their shadows nonetheless. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Joe's the type of person who has a good voice but too many weak songs. The songs Alexde mentioned are the only ones I like from him as well, especially "All the Things Your Man Won't Do".

You may be forgetting "I Wanna Know," though. That one was pretty popular. I have a borderline irrational hatred of it I can't really explain. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Come on fellas - what about "Better Days" and "What If A Woman" ?? Little? Yeah, right. It might be little but it's loud

I dug this one from his last CD.
Catchy hook. | |

But I will always love "All the things your man wont do" definately.

No and hell to the no! Again, why listen to R. Kelly-lite when I can just listen to the real thing? "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

And "Better Days" was his best attempt at being Marvin Gaye 2000.

It's okay but I got tired of hearing it after like the 10 millionth play on radio.

Meh. I guess. That sort of 'Grown N Sexy' shtick that he does is a bit stale at this point.

His range is pretty impressive, always liked that about him like in "all the things your man won't do". I heard him acoustic for a bit he plays a decent guitar.
