Female MUSICIANS that Rock - (Instruments Only!) Partially inspired by a comment made by sosgemini, I might do a few of these dedicated to women who seriously play instruments.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

First woman that always comes to my mind is Allison from The Donnas because I've seen her live so much:

I'm also a fan of Rasputina's Melora Creager:

Seeing that the direction of the thread has expanded beyond Nikki Glaspie, i've altered the title to widen the scope.
Please be sure to only include serious female musicians as opposed to celebrities. (Madonna, or someone similar, holding a guitar on a tune or two doesn't count)
Other than that, have at it.

She's for real.
When Beyonce put together the Suga Mama all female band, I was skeptical to say the least.
The band was very impressive. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Was this supposed to be just a Nikki thread?
I listened to those clips you posted. In the first one, I got so lost in the groove that I forgot I was supposed to be listening to the drumming first. Which is excellent of course.

My original plan was to do a series of "Female MUSICIANS that Rock" threads focusing on a particular player. However it's cool. Have at it.
Glad you enjoyed the clips of Nikki.

I don't own any of her cd's. But on the youtube vids she's listed as a musician, writer and producer. In other words "a bad ass woman that ROCKS!!!" I ran across her music only recently and accidentally.
