Totally going with Velvet Rope there.

I love the others, some I don't mind much, but VR is the one I can put on repeat for the whole day and still not be tired of it.

Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''

Control is historic as far as Janet breaking out of her creative shell and my favorite where it's so "fresh" and different as compared to what music was being invented in R&B in 1986. Flyte Tyme really NAILED IT on this album. Funny, too, how it was proposed to Sharon Bryant (Atlantic Starr) and she wasn't interested. Bet she's been kickin' herself for years over THAT decision. biggrin

I doubt she would have gotten the same results or mega stardom, Janet acheived with those tracks. They were meant for Janet. No one else......

This is a toughie. I'd say that, in no order, my fave Janet albums are RN 1814, The Velvet Rope, All For You, Control, janet. and Damita Jo.

Now my next favorites besides RN1814 are:

Velvet Rope(Very vulnerable JAnet)

Damita Jo(Because I met Kanye right after its release & he told me about how JJ & TL didn't give him credit for a lot of the production he did on that disk,Because he was new.)

Control(her mega break through piece that changed female artist 4ever)

Janet Jackson(Meeting her again after first working with her years earlier)It was a solid debut

Discipline(meeting her yet again & reminising on our childhood work)Underated cd that didn't get the right promotion......

I went back and listened to DJ to figure out what else he produced other than the three he was credited for. I hear a lot of him at home so I know his sound well and I love him too. This is what else I believe he had a hand in producing:

Damita Jo

As almost anyone would've predicted, RN is winning and TVR is in second.

Flip the last 2 and that's how I see it as well. Then another big drop off with Discipline coming in 5th. 20 Y.O. is definitely my least favorite. It has a few good songs, but the bad is horrendously dreadful. disbelief

Wow! It seems that Janet's biggest concept albums are the Org's favorites. Would you guys say that she needs to do another concept album this time around or that it doesn't matter as long as the music's good?

Concept album would be great, think I read in an interview she wanted the next album to be personnal, and I'm happy about it, maybe we'll get a gem like Velvet Rope again!

Yea! I know his writing style to. U can hear it on way more than three trax.

Kanye was very disturbed by not getting the credit. I told him how much I enjoyed the first single "I Want You". That is when he told me his feelings about what he really did on the project. I was shocked! But then I have heard that a lot of known producers use ghost writers. Because the real writer is not well known. Kanye is really a down to earth brotha. He is real honest with his. I've noticed even with myself telling the truth to people really bothers them. They rather u sugarcoat everything and tell them what they want to hear. Me and him are a lot alike.
