Michael Jackson Take 2...the interview they wouldn't show you Mike's version, Fox feb 20th!!!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah,I heard about this.MJ's version of the documentary will even include an exclusive interview with Debbie Rowe,Mike's former wife and the mother of his first two children.Jackson's British publicist said over the weekend that the new footage "clearly shows that Michael Bashir was actually continuing to praise Michael's abilities as a father, and it shows him making statements about how the world is so qucik to criticize Michael".
I honestly don't know what to think of all this.On the one hand,I can see why Michael would be pissed because,it's obvious that Bashir set him up, gaining his confidence, then making him out to be a total weirdo. But,maybe Michael should just let this go.At this point, the public's mind is already made up,and I don't think any of these two documentaries will change too many minds, either way.

I guess its because MJ doesn't take shit lying down, he should have known better than to mess with a superstar. [This message was edited Thu Feb 13 5:31:19 PST 2003 by deeplove]

Yeah,I agree,Mike is really showing alot of bravery for once...lol...he seems determined to "set the record straight" once and for all,by any means possible. Expect this to be another ratings smash.

Mike would be only defending his position as a father in this interview. Because he has clearly been caught in a lie twice in the documentary{that millions of people have seen}. So in this regard, I don't see the whole point of this counterattack interview. David, I thought about the comment you made in which you stated that Mike should just tell people "where they can go" as it relates to all the questions about his personal life. I started to think about Miles Davis. Man, Miles would have went off on Bashir big time during that interview. There would been so much tape on the cutting room floor on that docuementary... Miles didn't play when it came to him and his personal life{non-musical topics}. He always put people{especially interviewers, journalists and critics} on the edge.

I think Mike is just trying to "expose" Bashir as a hypocritical, scheming reporter with an agenda. The thing is,we already knew that...lol...this guy specializes in these types of interviews.I'm surprised that Michael didn't know this beforehand (another example of how out-of-touch with the world he is?).

Let's see how Martin Bashir tries to worm out of this one. And I wonder if Barbara Walters is going to make the same snide remarks during THIS tape. For once, let's see if these same journalists will enjoy being put on the spot now that the shoe is on the other foot.

At first I didn't take the side that claimed this was a "hatch job" I felt (and still do) that Michael hurt himself by telling the bold face lie about how many times he has had his face worked on. This showed he could look right into the camera and lie. And not very well I might add. He looked like how a child does when caught in an obvious lie. "It's silly" "It's stupid" Doing this sort of thing really hurts him when it comes to defending himself with the time spend with these children. But something else has been bothering me lately when I think about that special. Why didn't Martin ever ask him about his relationship with Lisa Marie? Or did he and it just ended up on the cutting room floor? I can't believe this would be off limits when he pushed into two areas (Mike's face and the 93 case) that are clearly upsetting to Michael. Either way, cut out or just not asked, the question remains why.The conclusion I have come up with was Martin did have an agenda. Michael and Lisa Marie did live together as husband and wife. Not saying they were cuddled up on the couch feeding eachother chocolate cover strawberries but by all accounts it was not the same as the strange arrangement he seemed to have with Debbie. Why would they not want to go into a chapter of MJ's life that is easily among his most interesting. I have my idea why but I'll let everyone answer that question for themselves. First off MJ is really lost his mind.. WHAT "voice over" was bad about his kids? there wasn't one.. I just watched the special again today, Martin actually said for Primetime Live ( right after the special) "MJ was very nice, charming to ALL kids he saw him with.. "He even said again in the same interview when asked another question. That "he never saw MJ do anything bad to any Kid around him".. He brought up 2 or 3 times that he saw nothing wrong with him doing anything to any Kid..
all he said in the voice overs which was true, MJ gotten stranger and stranger in Europe! HOW is MJ going to explain on this "new" FOX Cut of his side of the documentary.. * The baby dangle * (next morning) The Blanket on the babies face when being feed * The ZOO!! with his 2 kids and not comforting them..(its all on video) * Holding hands with a 12 year old boy. * Telling us that he sleeps with young kids in his bed. THOSE are ALL Visual pictures! Not "voice overs"!!! ~ also, MJ said he had 2 face surgeries..2??? 2 come on please! and if you watch him say it, he looks like he did when he answered every other question..( so when he LIES there was No difference in his face,ect.. ) he lied on that special a bunch of times.. Fore sure about His 2 Surgeries & Prince II mother.. In Vegas he said one thing .. In the last sit down interview he said another.. finally on Prime Time Live in 1996 with Lisa Marie, when asked about Face Surgeries.. MJ said "It comes from Nature" BUT Lisa Marie interupted him.. and said" He is CONSTANTLY changing things he doesn't like, remodifying something.. If he see something he changes it.. he is an artist." Then MJ said "I am an Artist .. I am a Performer" .."I might want to put a red dot here one day (pointing to his forehead) I might want to put 2 eyes here one day" (pointing to under his eyes) what a lieing freak

Right, also Martin Bashir isn't some scheming agenda fuelled reporter, he simply delivered the right documentary to Granada for mass global market success. He's a respected journalist who has written articles for The Financial Times, The Observer etc and done many worthy news reports. He then moved into a more tabloid celebrity media for the big money which is his prerogative. He hasn't done a hatchet job on anyone (An MJ documentary was always going to come off badly regardless), the Princess Diana interview made her into a national hero afterwards and boosted her public appeal, hence Jackson's interest in Bashir in first place. Diana was one of Mikey's female idols.

Om Mj's tape there is a 16 second clip of Bashire actually saying to MJ:
"Your relationship with your kids is fantastic.Infact it almost makes me weep when i see you with them because your interaction is so natural, so loving and so caring.Everyone that comes into contact wth you knows that." Michael replies: " thank you." That's a little different to Bashirs damning monologue on the documentary. Bashir is a class A Cunt! Mad props to mike!

Michael Jackson needs a weekly reality TV show, a la the Osbournes. It'd be the most successful show in television history.
