Lets HOPE someone doesn't come up in this thread like always, talking about how janet lip syncs. When everyone already knows that. lol

I thought her curly hair was making her look older for awhile and the short hair made her look fresh, but I love this new long hairstyle, she has different curls smile

Looking good Janet!

I saw her on tour this year and she was great! Really enjoyed the show. I would love to see her again. I'm seriously considering buying tickets to her show in upstate NY or NJ.

JANET | Rocks House Down at Royal Albert Hall, London – Number Ones: Up Close & Personal Tour

JANET, still Miss Jackson if you’re nasty! blew the crowd away at London’s Royal Albert Hall just over a week ago; touring in the UK for the first time in 13 years JANET performed on three-dates, two of which sold out so rapidly a third was added to meet demands. In support of her latest greatest hits cd Number Ones, this tour dubbed “Number Ones: Up Close and Personal” this arena was a perfectly-fitting venue for the show, JANET who stated this tour was about being closer to the fans, using the Royal Albert Hall allowed everyone to see her from wherever they sat.

Opening the set with The Pleasure Principle to-which I sung every word then following up with Control, What Have You For Me Lately, Feedback and 1993′s You Want This off the simply stated janet. album, the songs which followed only reminded the crowd why she’s an icon and still a pop legend. Going through her back-catalogue of hits ranging from the Control album all the way up to 2008′s Discipline, the set featured a notable ballad-segment showcasing JANET’s sweet, sensual and soulful vocals, plus several medleys, one of which flowed through If, Scream and Rhythm Nation moments before she ended the show with heartfelt but joyful rendition of Together Again, now a tribute to her late brother Michael. Armed with her troop of dancers she effortlessly replicated nearly all the choreography from many of the iconic videos she made during her prime; using her sassy, suave and sexy moves, along with fierce interactions with the audience she had us all on our feet singing, dancing, and imitating the moves throughout the show, I’ll admit to doing all the Miss You Much routine along with If, I knew the moves so I wasn’t gonna let that opportunity pass.

Attending both the July 2nd and July 3rd shows, I’ve heard no less from the June 30th attendee’s which included some celebrities in the audience such as JLS, Joe Jonas, Alesha Dixon and more just to name a few. It seems JANET’s really on a good streak right now, one that no doubt’s on a route to increase as time goes on; she revealed during an interview on ITV’s Paul O’Grady show last week (which I also attended) that she’d be touring well into next year with places like Australia, South America and Africa still on her list left to visit, and that’s before she even return’s to the US for a second set of stops next month.

The only point I note out about the show which could see room for improvement is the length, at 90 Min’s it did feel quite short even though we went through many of the hits. It didn’t affect the vibe of the show, however the atmosphere is so good when it ends it really is a depressing trip back to reality, so it would be nice to see her on stage a bit longer. Perhaps cutting the acting-montage, (this featured clips from Good Times, Different Strokes, Poetic Justice and Why Did I Get Married Too?) now even though it had the audience cheering and clapping there hearts out for joy, I’d much prefer her adding 3 or 4 more songs maybe even another medley, either way it would be a really nice bonus.

Overall I can safely say I had an amazing time at the show and would completely recommend it for anyone, my mum’s a casual fan from the 80s so I brought her along to the last night as a birthday present, she left saying “I LOVE YOU JANET!!”, so even if your not a die-hard it’s still definitely an experience, one that’s barely matched by any other artist out at this moment plus it completely gives you that fan-to-artist connection; JANET pointed me out twice during the Encore on both nights I went to see her, the final night I even made her laugh during the dance-break of Rhythm Nation.

Just as she started to do the signature breakdown moves, she spotted me in crowd (4th row, Floor) after screaming at her and jumping up and down with my official Rhythm Nation jacket, she then broke into small giggle; so besides her pointing directly at me later on in the show while saying “…Thank you so much” that point will always be something I”ll remember whenever I hear or see the song. Non-rehearsed and not the typical type of wave-n-heart sign’s most fans recieve, these points were completely natural and unexpected so in those moment’s my connections with her were really made.

JANET wanted to be in an intimate setting with her fans and this was truly that! RATING: 4/5 Stars

I am SO broke, I already saw her twice this year, but she's coming back next month and it's going to cost more. Looking at her in long hair alone is making me feel greedy, but I spent so much on shows more than any year this time.

JUST ANNOUNCED JANET JACKSON
AUSTRALIAN TOUR CONFIRMED OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER 2011

"More than a week has passed since I saw JANET JACKSON at Radio City Music Hall, and I'm still smiling..." - New York Times

PERTH - TUE 18 OCT - PERTH BURSWOOD THEATRE
ADELAIDE - SAT 22 OCT - ADELAIDE FESTIVAL THEATRE
MELBOURNE - WED 26 & THU 27 - THE ARTS CENTRE, STATE THEATRE
GOLD COAST - WED 2 NOV - GOLD COAST CONVENTION CENTRE
SYDNEY - SAT 5 & SUN 6 NOV - OPERA HOUSE, CONCERT HALL

Janet will be performing songs from her 35 number one hits. Originally slated as a world tour of 35 cities to match the 35 number one singles from her double disc album, NUMBER ONES, the high demand for extra shows has resulted in an expanded world tour with Australia now confirmed.

This tour will differ from her previous concert schedules in that she will perform music exclusively from her chart topping CD NUMBER ONES. There will also be a focus on venues that will allow Janet to be up close and personal in a much more intimate setting. In each selected city JANET will offer something different to her performance so no show will be the same. This tour is JANET more revealed, more intimate, and more personal than ever before. Don't look for special effects. Just listen to and look at Janet, as you have never seen her before.

Tickets go on sale to the general public 9am Wed 3 August.

Will probably fly to Melbourne to catch the show there before I head off to Canada.

You don't have to pay those prices to get a good seat in smaller venues. I hope everyone in Austrailia enjoys Janet's shows as much as we did in the States. cool

She sounded so good on her recent tours, lip synched or not and I feel like her voice has gotten awesome with time...but I watched some 20 YO performances after so long today and I don't understand what was going on with her. She could still sing, but it got so soft and high, did she lose her confidence? I kind of noticed she changed with JD and now without him, she's sounding aggressive again and I love it smile

Janet is soo underrated. I hate how people act like she doesn't have talent or was only famous because of Mj (far from true). Janet is a singer, a dancer, a actress, and a good song writer. Janet didn't need gimmicks are to relay on the gay community to get by like some artist. She got by off her music and her good looks lol:-D

Don't worry, Janet will be fine after she make some more hit records. She'll probably have everyone on her clit again and the amnesia symptoms will be gone smile

I sure hope so. It's crazy to me how people act like Janet wasn't ''That Bitch'' in the 90's. People are quick to catch amnesia.

SO true! Of all the superstar performers to come out of the 80s and who are still around today, she is by FAR the most underrated, and it's such a shame because most of the younger female (and male) artists of today have copied her in some form or fashion. Not only that, but a lot of her industry records have stood the test of time. Hell, it took Gaga to beat Janet's 10-year "All For You" most-played song record. And with everything that her albums and music videos have inspired, you'd think she'd be more recognized as the icon that not only MTV deemed her to be, but that she IS.

I was having a Janet marathon earlier this morning and having the time of my life rewatching some of the stuff, and some of which I didn't see as a kid, like MTV's Rockumentary. Sometimes I watch Janet and despise people that don't give her props, even the MJ fans who are ignorant about her work that act like no one else could dance. I used to act like that too a long time ago, but it was just a phase. Bitch can move!

I thought the same. 2004-2008 was "it's cool to hate Janet" period. lol But now those same folks are like "JANET KILLED ASS ON THAT STAGE!" lol
