Right!
Not to mention MJ was going through his "i'm over exposed" phase which is most likely the reason why he shelved the release of the Victory tour. I'm sure the brothers have all the footage but of course they can't release it because the Estate owns a percentage too and if all parties aren't agreeing on the release, welp...

That ain't Mike! What's up with this shit lately? Now everyone thinks they can fake MJ songs.

Slapstick demo... Longer than what I already have. Must be new??
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Longer than mine too....

Sooo, I'm guessing you don't have the "Thriller Sessions" that appeared 2 years ago with those high quality unreleased thriller songs (that we know of but only had poor quality before... the girl is mine sang entirely by MJ, baby be mine demo (where he can't decide if he sings it high pitch or not lol, awfully funny...), slapstick and starlight...etc Yeah, I love Graffiti Bridge movie, so what? ''Oooooooooooh Montreal, say it!''
If you can't be nice to someone on the net, you probably ain't worth much talking to in real life either.

I do have those versions but Slapstick is longer and TGIM sounds different on these.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That version of TGIM is NOT Michael Jackson.

I don't know. Sounds pretty convincing to me. 1979 vocals over a home demo. I think it's him. [Edited 7/26/11 19:20pm]

Only reason why I'm going to pass this off as fake is because if this is a 1979 "demo" I don't understand how he has the album version lyrics down to a science when this is the 1981 demo and he don't even have the first verse
| |

It's not him. | |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Yeah, not only are the vocals way off, but it also has the extended bridge which was only suggested later on by Quincy. Also at the end the guy is singing the same exact back and forth between Paul and MJ that is on the finalised version. I'm pretty sure that would have been just MJ and Paul riffing in the studio.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Wow, well maybe I was wrong. Now the tracks from "Michael" jumped out to me as being fake right away. This was more convincing to me.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well the Slapstick demo is definitely him and it's longer than any version I ever heard. It actually sounds pretty good. I like it.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That 1979 version of Girl Is Mine is FAKE
Slapstick.......I think it's looped. I gotta listen again and compare it to the version I have to be sure first "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
It's almost as if fans don't know the difference. A buddy of mine told me someone was saying they had "What A Lonely Way To Go" and he sent me the snippet they gave to him
It was Alfonzo, the guy who sang "Actions Speak Louder Than Words" singing Boz Scaggs' "Lowdown"
Those 2 songs are on the same album!
And there's also the matter of that "acapella demo of "A Place With No Name" that fans on MJJC were soooo sure was Michael, only for the person who did it coming forward and saying someone took the audio from his myspace page and put it on several forums without permission
those fans were mighty quiet "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

That "Girl Is Mine" is Marcus Joseph Williams
| |

That's what I was listening for - the clear give away is the bridge - in the 1981 demo it ends with "so it's one or of other". The final line "and one day you'll discover that she's my girl for ever and ever" was only added in the studio version. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

I know man. And this is no shot at Derek1984, but it's like, if somebody has a tenor voice and they can do one thing that is even a little bit close to Michael, or if they just copy his style, it's like some people are just so easily fooled. What about all the other things the vocalist is doing that is so below Michael's standards and doesn't mirror his voice at all? This is why I'm so pissed off with the Cascio situation, because it's SO OBVIOUSLY not Michael Jackson singing, yet nothing is being done about it. And so many people are cool with it, and just think it's Mike. It's crazy. I guess they can fool some people, but they ain't fooling me. I know Michael's voice inside and out. Sounding a little like Michael Jackson and actually being Michael Jackson are two completely different things.

Of course it is fake the music is a fucking MIDI from the internet that I downloaded in like 2002...lmao come on.

To those collecting the MJ cards from Panini - I just received my two hobby boxes. Have almost got the set, and have many doubles. So if you're collecting and looking to trade org note me and I can tell what I have and need.
Figure it's better to give them to people who need them. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

My bad thinking that demo was real. But those Cascio tracks are even worse. I never had a doubt from the get-go about those! Thanks for the replies and clearing it up for me.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No prob really. It's just fans that even though they might know who sings it will put a title just so they can get some views on their YouTube channel. And you're right concerning Cascio.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No prob. But yeah you should've been suspicious from the music ALONE. The sound doesn't even sound 1979-ish anyways.

Oh my ears. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

why shouldn't his kdis go with him? Madame Tussauds had a tribute to unveil for Michael and it's great that sone of him families members could attend, it was about Michael not jermaine or his kids. Don't make things a bigger deal than needed. [Edited 7/27/11 12:10pm] "we make our heroes in America only to destroy them"

Yeah it's like "oh you mocked me for liking him but now he's dead it's cool to play him again?" And then they look at you funny when you don't play him. -Timmy on after 6-25 fans
