With video footage, it may have to do with rights, production costs, and all that. Sooo, I'm guessing you don't have the "Thriller Sessions" that appeared 2 years ago with those high quality unreleased thriller songs (that we know of but only had poor quality before... the girl is mine sang entirely by MJ, baby be mine demo (where he can't decide if he sings it high pitch or not lol, awfully funny...), slapstick and starlight...etc

I do have those versions but Slapstick is longer and TGIM sounds different on these.

Only reason why I'm going to pass this off as fake is because if this is a 1979 "demo" I don't understand how he has the album version lyrics down to a science when this is the 1981 demo and he don't even have the first verse

Yeah, not only are the vocals way off, but it also has the extended bridge which was only suggested later on by Quincy. Also at the end the guy is singing the same exact back and forth between Paul and MJ that is on the finalised version. I'm pretty sure that would have been just MJ and Paul riffing in the studio.

Wow, well maybe I was wrong. Now the tracks from "Michael" jumped out to me as being fake right away. This was more convincing to me.

Well the Slapstick demo is definitely him and it's longer than any version I ever heard. It actually sounds pretty good. I like it.

It was Alfonzo, the guy who sang "Actions Speak Louder Than Words" singing Boz Scaggs' "Lowdown"

Those 2 songs are on the same album!

And there's also the matter of that "acapella demo of "A Place With No Name" that fans on MJJC were soooo sure was Michael, only for the person who did it coming forward and saying someone took the audio from his myspace page and put it on several forums without permission

those fans were mighty quiet

That's what I was listening for - the clear give away is the bridge - in the 1981 demo it ends with "so it's one or of other". The final line "and one day you'll discover that she's my girl for ever and ever" was only added in the studio version.

I know man. And this is no shot at Derek1984, but it's like, if somebody has a tenor voice and they can do one thing that is even a little bit close to Michael, or if they just copy his style, it's like some people are just so easily fooled. What about all the other things the vocalist is doing that is so below Michael's standards and doesn't mirror his voice at all? This is why I'm so pissed off with the Cascio situation, because it's SO OBVIOUSLY not Michael Jackson singing, yet nothing is being done about it. And so many people are cool with it, and just think it's Mike. It's crazy. I guess they can fool some people, but they ain't fooling me. I know Michael's voice inside and out. Sounding a little like Michael Jackson and actually being Michael Jackson are two completely different things.

Of course it is fake the music is a fucking MIDI from the internet that I downloaded in like 2002...lmao come on.
