Thing is, he makes it (unintentionally) comical by trying so hard to emulate MJ's voice.
I thought the same.
I don't know if anyone else remembers this, but I swear I remember reading or watching some interview MJ did where he talked about R. Kelly offering him songs and proceeding to sing the songs that way and Michael was laughing at his imitation.
Somebody should REALLY tell R. Kelly that's unnecessary.

This is one of the songs Kellz mentioned a while back. He said he and MJ did about 5 records together...I'm almost certain MJ recorded this or was in the process

Just imagine if MJ added his own touch to this? Amazing. He would've killed the ad-libs at the end too. I bet R. has many songs in his vault that MJ may have even recorded.

MJ said he found the interpretation amusing because he has never worked with someone that did that.
It's not. He's giving the artist an idea of how he wants them to sound.

I hope he did.
I can't find the other article, but R Kelly did mention it was 5 songs. I'm sure he has those records in his possession.
R. Kelly, theself-declared king of R&B, has revealed plans to finish and release tracks the king of pop recorded before his untimely death.
Kelly and Michael Jackson had been working together in Kelly's home studio before Jackson died on June 25. Their work relationship was a rekindled one, since Kelly had also written Jackson's platinum-selling single "You Are Not Alone."
"I was going to finish what Michael was doing at the time," he told Black Voices, later adding, "Michael liked the way I would try to sing the songs just like him."
No release date for the tracks has been set, but expect more news to come sometime after Kelly's fall tour promoting the Oct. 13 release of Untitled. "We're going to get it out," he said.
haha that ending is like Remember The Time!!! Anyone else hear it?
It's a really sexy song and it reminds me of You Rock My World but sexier just a bit, I think it would have been really good for Michael, with his edits and magic finishing touches of course I thought R.Kelly wrote 3 songs for Michael though, not 5, but now it makes sense. He wrote Cry, I'm sure One More Chance was another...and World's Greatest totally sounds like it was for Michael though he kept it for himself.
Just imagine if MJ added his own touch to this? Amazing. He would've killed the ad-libs at the end too. I bet R. has many songs in his vault that MJ may have even recorded.

I don't remember that, I just remember him laughing at him.
Which, is the exact same reaction he elicits from me.
