It's ok, the singer is really into it, but would love to hear the synth stronger and dirtier....i think the synth really carries the song.

They suck ass.

But watching the lead singer wiggle around at the beginning made me wonder how it'd sound if Maroon 5 covered it - maybe because the guy has the same kind of lanky build as Adam Levine?

Thing is, I think Maroon 5 could pull it off because Levine sings like a bird; I think he could do the falsetto.

Sigh... why are so many youtube vids so poor in sound quality?

This was so "muddy" sounding I couldn't make any judgment at all.

I thought that was going to be horrible, but I dug it. Listened to it several times.

I like the way the band has managed to recapture some of the punkiness of the era the song is from. The shouted vocals at the end work quite nicely. Much better than the "Prince" type of stuff that people have done by relying on their computers.

The band had the music right but the fucker up front can't sing!

If I were there I'd be the person who threw stuff and booed and got thrown out by the bouncers.

No. Just...no.

Not everybody can sing as good as Prince does in that song. I didn't mind he "couldn't sing". Least he had the energy. cool He's kinda cute anyways so yeah whatever. razz lol

I'd have to agree with a previous post: the synth needs to be much stronger. The synth riff really drives the song. But decent cover version, though!
