Because Music is an afterthought, its lost its relevance in most peoples lives, its that shit you slap on your phone now, its that beat you slap on your voicemail etc....

People wait for the newest video game now. lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

its not even that now, its just that Music has no place in the world now, everywhere you look its the afterthought. People by in large dont really care at this point, now i know "we" all would like to think people do, and yes alot of people have music on them every second of every day, but its still not relevant, because most arent even buying it, the media doesnt market music and labels dont market music they market EVENTS and HAPPENINGS around a new release, and that is why its seeing its demise.

Kids buy games with music. I've seen many "I heard this song on GTA" comments on old songs on Youtube. There's even Beatles Rock Band and the Michael Jackson dance game.

When the last time you've been up in Wally's World? lol

To my amazement right as you walke into the doors (over near the food section) they had Billie Holiday, Fleetwood, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Bee Gees, and other Cd's... selling for 8 or 9 bucks. eek
