I know what y'all are thinking, that's it? But dude shouldn't be paying child support in the first place. He takes care of all his kids and then some.

I think this is just a battle between him and his ex-wife, Sonya. Which I'm suprised they even seperated, compared to how he used to be.

Child support is based on a parent's income if it's $271 a month.... From what I've read she not claiming malfeasance she asking for an increase in child support.; you have children you pay child support.

I think Child Support should be for fathers (or sometimes mothers) not in the kids lives. I work in the courts so I know what goes on.

For a guy like P who is always in his kids lives (hell, he gave Romeo his No Limit inprint and guess who's on the roster, most of Master P's kids.)

Well goes to show that back-catalog doesnt sell for many of artists from the last 15-20 years, rap has never had shelf life with albums, and so if theres any lesson here its that you better stash your cash, dude was a multi million album selling artist (according to soundscan) and now makes less than 350 dollars a week, hope he saved some of that money from when he was selling these albums.

I actually meant Sonya years ago during a live taping of WCW Nitro in the Louisiana Superdome. She really is a nice woman. I would have never figured that she was the gold-digging type at all. And again, she was with P when No Limit didn't even go national yet.

If anyone can get around the system, it's Master P.

He filed his company No Limt for bankruptcy, not himself. Soon after he started The New No Limit.

the bankruptcy law got tougher for no one but people who obey the law and pay taxes. Sorry but it bugs me when people can get jobs and people get screwed with taxes and meanwhile dude like this has the cash but is stashing it like a squirrel stashing nuts doesnt pay his share.

Its been my experience though issues and/or disputes about child support (any legal case for that matter) maybe very similar; it's best to judge each case on its own circumstances and merits. The link you've provided only states, Sonya is asking the court to ajust Master P's child support payment, she's asking for an increase. TMZ is claiming Master P is worth millions, maybe he is and maybe he's not. That's all that article says, nothing more, nothing less. I'm not sure what the isssue is, request for an increase of child support payments or a request for a reduction of child support payments happens everyday.

I would hope Master P is in his kids lives still, that doesn't negate his financial obligation to support his children. Whatever he chooses to do financially beyond (many parents / men do) what the court has ordered him to pay again, this doesn't negate his child support payments. Unless, Sonya and Master P come to an agreement that the other ways he supports their children is adequate in helping her support their famliy as the custodial parent.

Many parents reach an amicable decision on how they'll financial support their children - without involving the court - during a legal seperation and/ or filing a petition for divorce... not all states recognize legal seperation. Depending on state laws, family court judges give a bit of latitude if the parents can reach an amicable agreement for child support. As you know, if parents can't reach a financial agreement than the courts decide what the non custodial parent pays.

If he's balling like that then how is an extra $271 gonna make any difference in her life or the kids?

If he's not paying anything and she has sole custody then, as you know if you truly work in family court, he has to pay based on his income. Either he pays momma or he takes her to court and asks for sole custody.
