Good performance. I suppose Walk On is the upcoming single.

I enjoyed that... I was hoping for "Can't Get Away" but "Walk On" is great as well.

I thought they were awesome and I loved Walk On.

Questlove's comment on Twitter about them taking the Roots gig me laugh too: http://lockerz.com/s/112535970

As nasty as they get live they seem tame on their tv appearences.

I don't really get that performance.

Where was the nastiness?

It did seem like they were holding back, but I figured that they didn't want to get too nasty, as they were being exposed to a new audience and had to do what they do while staying within the limitations of a TV performance. Sort of like the old clips of them lip syncing on Soul Train---except that they ARE actually playing live on Fallon.

I'd be willing to bet that if they played this in concert, it would have been extended and Stokley would have gone all out. I was looking for the "I'm gone.... I'm gone..." part.

Oh, and did that stage seem TINY to you guys?

They didn't need to display the nastiness.
They'll save that for the concerts.
It's cool to keep it simple and plain from time to time.

I watched it again on my big screen HD TV with the stereo receiver pumpin' and I think they killed it. Tiny stage and all... lol

Why not give folks something they don't EXPECT?

Nastiness is used to mask ur lack of talent.

Um not nastiness in sexual terms. They are referring to the bands musical chops.
