Britney Spears "Don't let me be the last to know"

Always liked this song. Not surprising considering Robert "Mutt" Lange produced it and co-wrote it with Shania Twain (and Keith Scott). Lange was still producing some nice stuff even in the year 2000.

Credits don't state any backing vocals but I bet the weird vocoder thingy on the break is mr "Mutt" himself. Always loved his backing vocal arragements.

Irrisistable pop.

They overplayed alot of Shania's stuff in the UK at the time but some of it was good pop music. "Still the one" sounds more Def Leppard then Shania but the "mutt" connection is there LOL.

I quite like Celines "Unison" album. Not into that song much though. Not much in it, but I prefer Sheena's original version.

Wow, had no idea Sheena sang it first. I still think Celine's takes the prize, though. She sangs that shit! lol

"Have a heart" "Where does mty heart beat now" and "love by another name" are my favs off "Unison". Inparticular "Have a heart", which is blessed by David Fosters then trademark sound and Numberto Gattica's gorgeous mixing and engineering.

I love that Unison CD! I made a thread about it on here about a month ago. There's no filler on that disc at all.

Her second English album isn't bad like "love can move mountains", "show some emotion", "halfway to heaven" etc... but its weighed down by some real filler like her pointless and inferior cover of "if you asked me to" "if you could see me now" etc...Not as consistant as "unison" in general.

Always surprised the Mariahesque "love can move mountains" was not a big hit for her. I bet if Mariah had done it though LOL. I swear some major payola was going on for Mariah is those early days....

Love Can Move Mountains was my song, too! I LOVED the video for that, on Muscle Beach in California. I also LOVE her version of If You Asked Me To.

Nah, Patti's version slaughters it in my view. I LOVE the production on Patti's though, so Celine was never gonna top that for starters. I also prefer Patti's voice on "if you asked me to" over Celines aswell.
