Continuing her tradition of being late to her shows, Miss Lauryn Hill hit the stage of Chene Park an hour late last night in Detroit before she rocked out for about an hour. According to our friends over at Hot 102.7, she came with some big news before exiting the stage. She’s pregnant!!!
Back in April, she performed at Club Nokia in LA and hinted that she may have a sixth addition to her family on the way:

“I keep having these children. I don’t know if I’m the most fertile woman in America. I’ve got five big children, you believe that? If you ask anybody I went to high school with, they’d be like puzzled… Wait till you hear the big secret though.”

What does she mean, "she keeps having these children"? No one is kidnapping her crazy ass and implanting her with embryos. She chooses to spread her legs and get pregnant. Frankly, I don't understand why anyone would WANT 6 kids in the first place. Has she not heard of birth control?

She must be trying to break her Pops-in-Law's record.

I think she has. I kept hearing tales Rastas didn't believe in birth control and if Lauryn is a converted Rasta, that could explain it. Not trying to start shit because someone always uses religion as an excuse for babies but that could explain it.

I think so and I agree. Again not trying to excuse her religion but yeah you're right.

Because it just seems like she is dropping those kids willy nilly and also, she is not mentally or emotionally stable.

But the thing is Lauryn's the one complaining about it....did you read what she said? "I keep having all thse kids"...that doesn't sound too positive, it sounds like she's tired of pushing out kids. So if she's tired of having them, she has the power to stop having them. I think that's the point most are making in here, it isn't hate, it's just responding to her comments and her situation. If she's tired of having them, then she needs to either close her legs, get on birth control or get her tubes tied and burned, if she don't want to hear no one's opinion, then she shouldn't complain. Plain and simple.

She can have as many babies as she wants but to attempt to make a comeback Nawwww I just dont see it. It too hard to stay revelant in the business yet raise 6 kids at the same time.

I'm sorry it posted at all. If anyone of y'all registered her statement quoted here as a serious complaint y'all are the folks needing help. The statement is reflective of humor, very human and down to earth, and could easily have come from someone here on this board, or family and friends of the board. That little bit right there has been unduly and poorly twisted. The new org motto seems to be "Get It Twisted!"

Now some of the other stuff that we hear about or see on youtube may be a little bit crazy - I would never buy a ticket to one of her shows out of concern for all of the bullshit going down. I don't care for this particular org note exageration because it is confused in its focus, and because it reflects on a child. It reflects on a mother. And as a mother, from what little I can observe, Lauryn Hill seems to be right on time. Is this the stereotype you are referring to her as playing with? A badass mother who is taking care of business for her family and children?
